    That is next in the lineup for tonight! When I have a new beer I try to make it first in the lineup.

    1) Revolution Anti-Hero (6.7% canned 11/14/2025): An American IPA from Chicago with flavors of grapefruit, orange marmalade, resinous stonefruit, and bitter pine.
    versus
    2) Hop Butcher Rocklawn (7.5% canned 2/26/26): A NEIPA from Chicago with Simcoe, Krush, HRC-003 for flavors of orange, tangerine, stonefruit, earthy greens. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    A Chicago WCIPA battle with Revolution and Hop Butcher. First is Revolution Anti-Hero. One of the best in the game. Caramelized, piney, strong bitterness. Robust in all attributes. Amazing IPA.
    Next is Hop Butcher Rocklawn. A bit more resinous hop flavor. Not quite as piney or bitter. Drinks more American IPA and less West-Coast. It's good, but not great.
    Winner: Revolution Anti-Hero IPA

    Last night's closer.

    And tonight's opener, Hidden River - Embracing Delerium D-IPA. Canned two weeks ago and IMHO, Hidden River is every bit as good as Tired Hands. I love how they specialize in D-IPA's (but brew other styles as well). Outstanding shah right here!

    Absolutely LOVE this guitar and always wanted an Ibanez Iceman. John 5 plays it better than KISS! :heavymetal::smile::heavymetal:

    Prost! :heavymetal::nerd::beers:!!

    Have a good Hump Day. I was up around 7AM and been working on audiobooks all day. I finished When to Rob a Bank: ...And 131 More Warped Suggestions and Well-Intended Rants by Steven D. Levitt which is the 4th Freakonomics book, 3.5/5. It's basically a book of short stories about weird correlations in data like the first one. Kind of funny he got arrested by TSA for having some documents about the statistics of terrorists at the airport(If You Were a Terrorist, How Would You Attack?). Second book was a short 5 hour one for Women's month on Goodreads. The Secret History of the **** Kit by Pagan Kennedy about the inventor of the kit "Marty" Goddard. And also the author was a survivor and had a mini memoir packed into the book. Really dark stuff. 4/5 I started my next 5/5 book today: The Chief: The Life of William Randolph Hearst by David Nasaw. I already read Andrew Carnegie from him, but this one is just a captivating chapter after chapter. All about the penny newspaper war's with Joseph Pulitzer. Grew up a bit distanced from his dad, when he was a mining magnate during his childhood. His mom took the inheritance on his father's death because he spent way too much on his big allowance as being a Harvard Dropout, then turned to The Chief editor of San Francisco Examiner after his father passed and he helped make it a big paper. Lots of political sights in the shadow of Teddy roosevelt. This is a top tier book, GO READ IT. I am only 33% finished.

    Some cat biscuits in bed. Chuck was sniffing Girly's butt.

    Another 2/25/2026 Canned Wicked Weed Pernicious from the 12 pack. My Go-To IPA. Refreshingly dank and crisp resins.
