Finally a real beer at last burning off with tacos to minimize Cryo flavor isolation.

Enegren is one of the top producers of German-style Lagers in Southern California. Time and again, they keep up the pace, this time releasing “The Lightest One,” their version of a super-bright Munich-style Helles Lager. Today’s modern classic is a 4.8% ABV, easy drinking Helles.

I find a lot of Helles beers are very malt forward, this one not so much, it is a balanced, spritzy and refreshing rendition, with fantastic clarity, nice head and terrific lacing. They’re doing something right over there in Moorpark….. Prost!

The stout I prob should have had yesterday. They drink this as a thirst quencher in Jamaica. I could see it ice cold in small bottles with some doobage. Prob be great but I will have to do some R&D. Its way better than Red Stripe (unless you have it on the island) Cheers[IMG]

Spyglass seems to be a superior brewery as well but I don't get that here- although I think I've had a couple as collabs

Prolly posted this a time or two this year but if you grew up with Caribou and Good by Yellow Brick Road, and then morphed to Metallica, you can't crank this shit loud enough!!!

    Donna’s Pickle Beer

Aroma is pickley but not overwhelming. The taste is quite fascinating-- slightly sweet, then salty, and the distinct tang of pickles but not all that sour. Very sprightly and sharpish with plenty of carbonation on the tongue. If you could ever get in the mood for something like this it's actually quite drinkable, especially with the modest alcohol content.

Today was a day that crystalizes my conviction to retire soon. They could put me on part time, but I am ready to do some traveling & not stressing out about bailing out a sinking ship
