A rare midday beer for me.... a little PLINY. Why, you might ask? (you didn't)

Because I jog walked this morning and the knee didn't feel like complete garbage. I'm elated.
On the mend, and ready for more. Almost shed a tear once I was jogging....

I'm joining meat-world friends for beers at a local joint later, so toodles... I'll try to post and check in later.

Oh yeah, new LANOIS instrumental just dropped.

 

Stop 2 is Prairie St. Brewing in Rockford and they have an Irish red ale on the beer engine. Copper Feather Red, to be exact.

I was excited to see the engine, but the beer leans pretty sweet.

Everyones off, so took the kids for some ice cream after lunch. Tried to get everyone to the park after that, but they all fell asleep in the car so i just took everyone home. They're sleeping now, but i just started cooking some jalapeno relish inside and that sure as hell woke them up

What is up BAs! Work closed early today to give us a jump on the Memorial Day weekend. I'm chilling with this excellent wood fermented Italian style Pilsner Più Bello 4.5% from Cellarest Beer Project in NC. Can't thank @CarolinaCardinals enough for bringing me such a great batch of beers from Cellarest. Not a dud in the bunch. This one is light bodied, leans hop forward with floral and spicy hops notes. Champaigne-like carbonation. Appropriate pilsner bitterness. Snappy, clean finish. Gonna have to think hard about my favorite of the group! Cheer all!

 

Nice! Plans to hit anywhere else?

That is odd. Maybe they dated a bunch of cartons back in Feb but didn't get them all packed until April.

Happy Friday / Memorial Day weekend oh indeed ba. Still gotta work a bit tomorrow but should be in & out. Despite the weather forecast I’m looking forward to the time off.

Just more fresh alchemist dropping here. Into it w/ heady,

 

Broken Hatchet Wee Heavy 8.7% ABV..

 

I can't even begin to describe the clarity of this Northern German style Pils from Zillicoah. It may be the clearest I've ever seen. Made with Perle and Hersbrucker hops. Has a clean snappy bitterness you like in a German Pils. At 5.5% it starts to sneak up on strong beer for German style. First class beer. If you are wondering, Zillicoah is the Cherokee Native American name for the French Broad River in NC.
