I am now drinking a Cats and Dogs by Ill Will Brewing. An 8% fruited smoothie sour.

 

I wish you a speedy recovery. Been there, done that but with my pancreas the size of a football. Not a pleasant experience. I feel your pain. I quit drinking all alcoholic beverages, unless they are fermented. (No spirits.). So far...so good.
Beer is too precious to give up entirely.

At Bayou Heights Biergarten in Houston. Bossrock is having a Victory Sour Monkey and BigRock has Redwood, a new IPA from Magnolia Brewing.

 

After hitting a distillery for some whiskey, stopped by a nearby brewery - Eleven Eleven (formerly Belly Love):


Trying their stuff, mostly strong, (LtR - they have names, but not too important to analysis):

• BDSA - a cherry leaning beer with hints of banana. Odd, but I kinda like it.
• Dopplesticke - not bad - toasted malt with a little husky-to-earthy bitterness
• Munich Helles - a little bitter, almost nearer a Kölsch in my mind. Speaking of…
• Kölsch - similar to the Helles, maybe a little more mild. Maybe server mixed up? Fine old school bitter lagers, these past two, ignoring style
• Imperial stout (barrel-aged) - deftly done, mostly stout with ever so light bourbon sweetness

Also sampled from the GF’s sampler and the Black IPA stood out there. Overall, my sampler was better. Winning!

I had a reckoning with the lack of fiber on the carnivore diet, right before meeting up with @Mdog, and he heard all the details, much to his dismay. Please purchase Fiberlyze by Species Nutrition. It changed everything for me. Now, please give me your thoughts on the new Dimmu Borgir album. I have a long time to go before I have a firm grasp on it, which could be good, or the album may be a grandiose lesson on when a band completely lost its magic, and tried to do everything but what made them legendary. It is too soon for me to be able have a clear understanding of the new Dimmu Borgir album.
