I’m enjoying my Friday. On my way to see Steve Earle later tonight I stopped in and visited Wedgewood Brewing Company, a new-to-me brewery. Their Gypsy Cat Sunflower is a real banger! I wanted something clean as a follow up, so I went with their Summer Ale.

Bierstadt Slow Pour Pils thanks to @Prager62. One of my favorites of the style. A more aggressive noble hop presence brings earthiness, herbaceousness, and slight floral notes to go with oyster cracker, saltine cracker, and minerality. Fantastic as always.

 

It's Happy Hour in the Elbow Room and I got here early enough to score a seat on the deck. Drinking Tropical Lightning, WCIPA, from Wilmington Brewing Company in North Carolina. One of my favorites from that brewery. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

Friday greetings BAs! Winding things down for Friday with the last of this little gem of a Kölsch style ale from Edmund's Oast 4.5%. We finally got some relief from five straight days of rain (Memorial Day weekend seems like a washout every year for us) with a bit of sunshine yesterday afternoon. Clouds moving back in for more rain this weekend. Much needed though. Cheers!

Two of my favorite domestic beers right now are Bierstadt Slow Pour and Helles. Fine examples of German style beers made very well here in the U.S.
