Howdy folks and cheers! Here comes another weekend. Got a nice thunderstorm last night. Maybe more today. Makes my lawn glow. Takin' it easy today and now two consecutive days where coffee is turning me off. Hit the road Jack. I'm leavin' it alone for a few. This brew here will change things around for the better.

Will definitely hit Sante Fe and the brewery my next trip to New Mexico. Thankfully only have one more can from this dated six pack. It’s a bit malty at this stage. Guess I got, what I deserved, for keeping this for far too long.

Doing an interesting side by side today. These are actually the same beer, but the one on the left is matured in old school pitch lined barrels and the one on the right is matured in conical stainless steel tanks.

Taking a little break now. It's a bit hot (already) to be double fisting beers.

Southern Tier 2XHOP'D - American Double IPA

Equal parts new and old school. Advertised notes of passionfruit, guava and nectarine and a low to moderate bitterness meld with evergreen, pine, doughy sweetness, and a hint of alcohol. I normally want a lot more bitterness in a clear Double IPA, but there's a charm to this beer that just works. Happy Friday, BAs!

ISIL cross-post. Explorium Brewpub Milwaukee County Stout Chattanooga Whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout. The taste of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mellow and smooth. @ZlaVydra and I are fueling up for Milwaukee Metalfest. We were drinking coffee earlier, then William H. Macy walked walked right past us. We were going to get a picture with him, but we figured he should be the one to ask for a picture with us.
