    1. My palate is fatigued from Nugget Nectar so need to switch things up. (I know, cry me a river.)
    2. Enjoying this one bottled a month ago but that glass is screamin' for Hop Slam which isn't available yet in PA. :angry: (I know, I know...and all you Midwest BA'rs are saying, "Cry me a river".) ...*sigh* :slight_frown:

    Had a pretty nice night at a local bar having a dark beer event, met up with several local BAs.

    Some stand outs, started with 2011 Black Note. Excellent beer, great balance. Don't know if I would give my kidney for it like some are asking in the trading forum though.

    Moved onto Soft Dookie, beautiful vanilla nose, another very solid beer.

    Then moved onto some Smoking Wood, very very nice smoked beer.

    And finally a 2003 Aventinus....wowzers, oldest I had prior to this was a 2007 and I thought I really liked that...then I had this. Brilliant.

    Had some other beers, most were meh including an infected 2011 Backwoods Bastard....

    Alpha Klaus is great, I had the BB aged on Christmas Day, it was awesome. There are so many other amazing FFF beers I hope you get the chance to try.

    Funny you bring it up, because I happened to stumble upon 13 extra tickets for the crazy train today while cleaning! And, I will buy you an 8 month old Ale la Reverend at HopCat...mmm nothing like aged 4.something ABV session IPAs.
    Oh yah, btw, 2012 BCBS for a lil night cap. Today was a good day of drinking. Cheers to those of you that can't day drink and want to. Fuck you to those that just don't want to. :wink:

    Felt like keeping it local today....so I went to Sprecher and brought these home...

    Root Beer....w/ alcohol....aged in a barrel!!! Hell Yes!!!
