+1 on the NG Spotted Cow. Had forgotten about it since I haven't had it since last summer. Good call!

saint arnold weedwhacker, a hefe styled kolsch. great "beer" beer. also, the recent new albion release is also a phenomenal "beer" beer, with just enough bitterness to keep you coming back. but my old standby is bombshell blonde by southern star. great, and for 7 a 6er? who wouldnt?

For me it's usually Victory Prima Pils, Sierra Nevada Pale, Surly Hell, or Schell's Pils.

But it's COLD ACTIVATED! When the mountains turn blue, it's as cold as the Rockies!

PvW Bourbon Barrel that shit and we'd all tripping on our Dark Lords to get some......

But seriously, I have to go with the Prima Pils! But if I just finish the lawn (weird to think about in this bleak winter...) I usually grab an Oberon. Tastes like summer to me

Thank you for all of the suggestions so far; I'll definitely keep them in mind. It seems like most people suggest pilsners and hefes which is kind of what I was expecting. I'm definitely open to more German suggestions as well as I haven't been drinking much German beer lately.

SN Kellerweis usually does a great job scratching that itch. As does Two-Hearted.

A good German lager like Weihenstephaner Original, Warsteiner Dunkel, or Augustiner Edelstoff works well too.

Exactly what I was thinking. Spotted Cow is just perfect any time of the year. I'd also say Lagunitas A Little Sumpin Sumpin. So delicious and refreshing.

Noble, Sam Octo, and SN Sumfest are can't miss refreshing. And, if I may commit a minor misdemeanor, all are good right out of the bottle. Noses be darned.

Refreshing defines session beer. Anything over 4% ABV causes dehydration.
On a hot day I usually go for the weakest beer in the pub unless a) it's one i don't really enjoy or b) I see something I really like!
Fortunately there's masses of choice anywhere I go.
