A friend of mine made a lager chili last weekend and used Victory Lager but after the fact he was wishing he used the Blue Point Toasted Lager for the toasted nuance.

My judgment says glycerol, but I'm going to hope it's just a high grainbill and maybe the honey adjunct.

That reminds me of a funny story (aka, old dude reminiscing). When I was growing up, my parents always entertained and I remember one party they threw in the middle of the winter and it happened to be a really cold night. To save people from running upstairs to the kitchen my dad decided to stick all the long necks in the snowdrift outside of the basement sliding glass door. At one point in the evening there was a bunch of loud "pops", we all went running outside to find the majority of the bottles with the necks completely blown off from freezing and a few of the popped glass necks were frozen at an angle to the cement porch! Thanks for sparking that memory, it's one of those obscure experiences I've never forgotten!

No beers yet. On my second diet ginger ale and bourbon though while making Rotel dip and getting ready to toast up a great sub sandwich! This is my last one of these. I've got Schlafly AIPA, SN Celebration, NB Abbey and BCBS cold too, so I'm sure I'll have a couple! Pulling for San Fran for the Smith boys!!
