I am just getting into the craft beer scene. I used to drink the piss beer and dove straight to the stouts and been in love with craft beer ever since. I have been doing mix 6 packs to get my feel for what is out there. So my question is what would be in your mix 6?

i would be general about it and break it down by brewery.

    this is what im thinking...

    Founders
    Bells
    Lagunitas
    Stone
    Troegs
and something local to where you live...

those are a few breweries you can try, you cant go too wrong with them.

If a store lets you mix 6-packs, as most do, it probably just lets you buy individual bottles in any quantity; at least that's my experience. So is the "dream mix 6-pack" an arbitrary limit imposed on this thread? Unless I'm misunderstanding something, this just seems like you're asking "what are your six favorite beers?"

Anyway, my answer would be something like:
    Pliny the Elder
    Saison Dupont
    Parabola
    Westmalle Tripel
    Orval
    RR Temptation

I am just curious to see what someone's mix 6 might be whether it's specific beers or breweries. I guess if you want me to be more specific, What would be your mix 6 for imperial stouts?

Off the top of my head and in no particular order, I'd go with:
    Parabola
    KBS
    Beer Geek Brunch Weasel
    Older Viscosity
    Berserker
    Péché Mortel
    The Abyss
    Speedway Stout
    Founders Imperial Stout

Because at my dream store, it's "buy two, get one free"

    Mikkeler Beer Geek Brunch Weasel

Insanely Fresh IPA's (a strategic impossibility) of:

    Hopslam (Bell's)
Hoodoo Midwest Fresh Hopped (North Peak)
    Sucks (Lagunitas)
    Tricerahops (Ninkasi)
    All Day IPA (Founders)
    Odell IPA

    In no order, of course.
The last two, lower-ish ABV sessionables.
    Left a million off!
