Props to atone315 for hooking it up with these two 4pks! Even more props for offering one frrom last year's release! Aged or fresh, this is my favorite non-barrel aged stout on the planet (though these 1 year old Expedition's have been kicking my ass and I am really looking forward to them aging even more..). Thanks again!

A pair of exceptional imperial reds. Early last Spring, when I had my first Lagunitas Imperial Red—ironically just a couple weeks after finishing my one six pack of Nugget Nectar—I knew I'd have to do a head-to-head comparison when NN was released this year. Unfortunately the comparison won't really be valid, because while the NN is nice and fresh (bottled 1/24/13), the Lagunitas IR is old (last released in late January of 2012) and won't be released at all in 2013. Oh well, I'll just have to hope I can get both fresh next year. ;D

Sonoma style in So Cal

 

Second haul in two days, and I haven't still paid for last month. Oh well, I can still feed with bread and eggs for a couple of days more..
What I got here is two bottles of Beerskey, made with whiskey malt, having a BB date of June 2022 (the only other beer I've seen till now with such a long BB date is Cuvee Van De Keizer Blue), a bunch of maybe the last autumn bock beers I am going to try for this year, a couple of english beers that I've read good things about and another bunch of american ones from Flying Dog which I am very happy about since I haven't had anything from that style before (imperial porter, oatmeal stout)

Went to VT today and stocked up at Hill Farmstead. Grabbed growlers of Abner, Double Galaxy and Susan. We have been comparing to the most popular brews and like Zombie Dust and Pliny as much. Hopslam and Abrasive just don't seem to be as tasy.
