I was visiting my girlfriend in England one time when I had what felt like an epiphany with beer—we got some takeaway Indian food and bought a couple of Belgian beers on the way back, I think Westmalle Tripel and Piraat. The pairing of pale, spicy, and hoppy Belgian beer with Indian food was unreal. Maybe it was the strong beer and good food, or the fact that most other beer we'd been drinking was much weaker and the food much blander / odder (o hai, English food culture), but it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Yeah man. The only problem with Nugget Nectar is that it's one of those beers that I end up drinking way faster than I mean to. Same with Heady Topper (though, that is a more extreme example).

 

And that's at least a year old, if that's the old label that I see. Very jealous.

No shit? I used to live north of ADK, like an hour southwest of Montreal, so I know the north country relatively well. And, CNY—seven years in the Utica area, four in Syracuse, etc.
