Screw and Brew in Cannon Beach is a pretty funny place to have a beer if you happen to be walking around town. Hardware store meets beer/cafe.
Agree on SARA (Sante Adarius Rustic Ales), their stuff is awesome. Should also mention Rare Barrel in Berkeley and the obvious Russian River stop.
Also there is a short detour through prairie Creek redwood forest that's worth the extra few minutes of driving, and a great lunch spot.
Redwood Curtain in Arcata. It was an awesome find on my last road trip and will be a stop every time I'm in the area.
