I noticed you mentioned that you didnt care for Brooklyn Lager, but Brooklyn's Summer Lager is really good definitely give it a shot.
Coors is putting thier "beer" in stubby bottles for the summer, they actually really cool and would probably fit in with a 1950's theme.
