Day 10 from @RuckIt brings a HF bottle for sure. Taste reminded me of Anna, which I love. This is such a great beer. My guess was Vera Mae but I was wrong, of course lol.

Wine barrel dry hopped Dorothy. Close to perfection. My girlfriend who dislikes most beer tried it and said ‘ooh that’s good’.

Part 2 because Dave is a madman:

Another 3F offering. This has that classic blue cheese and sweaty feet smell, or awesome. I guessed Golden Blend based on me not having had it before and RuckIt leaving a clue on slack.

I never thought I’d get to try OGV or Golden Blend let alone both on back to back nights. All the thanks Dave!

On to day 6 of 7 DoX from @Corriecrafts . This is a small format bottle that I am unfamiliar with, with white wax. It pours a dark brown, not quite black, with a foamy tan head that persists and laces the glass nicely.

This is roasty, with nice bitter chocolate notes and a dry finish. Hints of coffee, and this has definitely seen oak. I don't think this is a barleywine or stout, it drinks like a really nice robust porter. I'm not picking up any adjuncts, I think all the flavors are craftsmanship. Reveal...

BBA Marble Palace from Fifty West, a BBA stout with cacao nibs and vanilla. Definitely getting more cacao on the nose as it warms up a bit. Really tasty, thank you Corrie!

Day 10 from @dannyfayy poured a deep red with a little to no head. There were special instructions to share this beer with Jan. Jan really likes cherries and dark berries, so we knew it had to be a sour with some combination of those fruits.

At first I was thinking this was Jammy with vanilla but as I sipped on it more I realized that this was straight cherries with vanilla. But I was also getting a distinct oaky barrel characteristic that I couldn’t put my finger on. I assumed this was a Casey beer but didn’t know which one other than it had cherries and vanilla in it. I guess if I did a quick search on Untappd I could’ve found it really quick, but I was sharing it with my beautiful wife over dinner and didn’t want to pull out my phone.

The reveal... Casey BBA East Bank Preserves with Cherries and Vanilla!

This was so fruity and complex. I loved how well the cherries played with the bourbon and vanilla! It reminded me of a cherry cobbler. Jan really loved it too! She rarely drinks 10+ oz of any sour, but she did tonight. Thanks @dannyfayy!

Day 10 and I am barely comatose. After an eight hour drive with whiny kids...I was pumped to jump into what @vitaminvert had planned for me. I had no clue based on wax or bottle format. Sweet, and yet a spicey dry finish. This bottle screams vanilla and rye and it is so, so right. As it warms it just gets better and better.

Here be monsters vanilla rye. An exceptional pour. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to end my evening.

Also, had a pour from my wife’s Day 10 mead. An exceptional traditional mead highlighting orange blossom. Fantastic! Thanks @Dan_K

Pours a clear straw, lightly tart, no fruit, nice and clean.

On to day 10 from @Nichols33:
Another plain silver cap with no plastic stopper. The HF glass is dirty, so a nice excuse to use my new one. The smell on this has a ton going on, but I am struggling to place any of it. The taste is definitely not HF, but other than some lemon, I am not sure on any of the flavors. Little bit of tartness, little funk, and a dry finish. This is super drinkable and excellent, but no idea what it is?

Not sure whether to be sad or happy, but we're on to Day 10 and @KyleDavis is absolutely destroying my fucking wishlist. I had Casey on my profile and I feel like by the end of this I'm going to of had every fucking one they've ever made...

Anyways, living that #PGW life and pour is golden instead of red which is a change. Super excited.

Thinking this is apricots. Funk is amazing as always and the acidity on this one lies somewhere between the Cherry + Vanilla and Raspberry + Peaches I've previously enjoyed. Absolute banger once again.

Family Preserves Peaches! Honestly, on first sip it is all funk but there's this residual taste with a sweetness that's gotta be the peaches. I mistook it as apricot but it's the same flavor as the lingering flavor last night. Though these are literally the only two peach beers I've ever had, so I'm not too worried about nailing down that flavor.

    Thanks Kyle! Legendary box continues...

Forager Dribbles. All of these forager beers have been so damn enjoyable. They appear to be great at making sure all of their adjuncts work well together and not make one dominate the beer too much. So glad I finally got to try some of them.

Finally feeling normal again, so trying to get a few of these brews down before the new year.

Thick looking stout. First sip and whoa, wasn’t expecting it, but there’s some heat here. Caught me off guard. Definitely a stronger pepper presence than the last spiced stout.

Another completely off-my-radar brew. Very nice. Coffee came forward as it warmed.

Went for round 2 and saw the Oddside Ales cap. I’ve had a few beers from them, so wondering if this was a variant. Coffee, maple, smoke and spice. Thought I might have the Rye Hipster Brunch on my hands. Thanks @Lazhal, can’t wait to crack the last few.

Sorry guys...some issues last couple of days so gotta catch up.

Day 7: Rolled a 3 - so grabbed that number from @soma27 . My pic w/liquid was blurry but trust me it was dark as night. Smell is coffee. The cap was Trillium so maybe a version of PM Dawn or Night & Day?

Reveal: Permutation 109! Another new tick. The coffee is front & center, while the other adjuncts support for some balance. Silky. Really great beer! Thanks Chris!

Day 8: Rolled a 12 - last of @tsgooch79 12-day beer. Shocker - pours pitch black. Aroma is liquid, boozy Milky Way.

Reveal: The cap shows it’s from Kane. I won’t guess cause I just want to drink this, it’s so luxurious. It’s Saturday Night Lights! So much flavor. It’s sweet for sure and hard to believe it’s not liquid candy. But the mouthfeel & flavors are awesome. Really awesome. Thanks again Travis for another great beer experience!

I was disappointed I didn’t buy this beer after drinking it at their member party in early December. I’m not the biggest fan of this style but I loved that beer. Untappd released a bunch of top 10 lists - one of which was the top 10 descriptions of beer. “Smooth” was in the top 10. Consequently, I saw a bunch of tweets about what “smooth” is/means. This beer is smooth ; )

Thanks for the welfare check ; ) Between that & the massive migraine I had all day on Sunday, I definitely have been re-prioritizing. Then I posted to last year’s thread accidentally-ish.

I’d say I’m prioritizing quality over quantity, but all of the beers have been high quality. It also looks like I’m in for more high ABV treats for the last couple of days. The days left are 1, 7 & 11(A&B). Just rolled for tonight - looks like 11 A & B will be waiting until Jan 1.

After making sure I'm in the right thread (some people don't do that), here's my last wrapped beer from @Dad_of_Rad ...

By this point, I know I'm getting a BA Imperial Stout. And the black cap implies Transient (which I've just learned this week). Tasting this I get TONS of maple, plus the barrel (and lots of vanilla-chocolatey goodness). Coffee is there too, especially in the nose.

This has got to be one of Buckley variants -- and given the maple I'd be surprised if it wasn't Canuckley. Jumping ahead to the reveal...

...2019 Canuckley it is. Aged in Maple-Bourbon barrels. Yum. I think I got two of my beers right, probably should/could have gotten more. Thanks for this one Benji!!

    My Dearest Scott,

A holiday hangover package of mostly hops was sent yesterday. It should arrive just after the new year for an easy way to ween yourself off of this BIF. I picked up some cans directly from breweries, but I believe unfortunately 1 can is about 2 months old and I didn't realize it until today. It should still be good and is not the focal point of the box. I hope you enjoy the final 2 days of the box!

Sadly, 6dox must come to an end eventually. Short day at work today, so decided to enjoy an afternoon beer since I'm spending NYE with the girlfriend, and probably won't be drinking where we're going.

14% stout according to the letter @JasonR1975 sent. Has a slight boozy nose, and upon first taste, almost thought this might be a spiced stout, but quickly through that thought away upon a few more sips. Not sure what this is, besides good.

Kentuckley! Yet another beer not on my radar at all. Jason, you did an awesome job hitting favorite styles while simultaneously introducing me to breweries I've either never heard of, or have barely touched. Still have quite a number of extras to go through over the coming days or weeks (depending on what I get around to opening them), but all of those have also been solid. Thank you so much for an awesome 6(+1) days! It was also great getting to dome all of them (except one), though a little help on a couple of the sours would have been nice lol

I'm quite glad you sent the glass. Honestly, I had to wrestle it from my wife for this beer since it was PGW, otherwise she's drank every other beer out of it since it came. She said it 'makes her feel like she's drinking like Jesus'.

On the Le Batteur, you started drinkin' early today? I'd never checked it in before. I've checked in Le Bretteur but not Le Batteur. Le Bretteur was indeed checked in at a festival (Rare Beer in Denver in 2016). A friend of mine checked into Le Batteur at the same festival, so its possible Bell's had both, but he also occasionally doesn't check into the correct beers, so who knows?
