missed December 29ths beer. Will drink next.

Saw the cap so I knew to use the proper glass. The beer pours dark and smells barrel aged. Pours dark and has a slightly fruity smell to it. Tastes like it has some sort of soft fruit in it but couldn't put my finger on it so I opened the wrapping. Listermann - Imperial Cickow! Peach Brandy Double Brown Ale. Thanks @ltjska04

    Day 11 brings a bomber bottle & a cap that looks semi-familiar as I haven't seen a Lakewood cap in a bit
    [IMG]

Definitely fruit & obviously a stout so I think it is raspberry temptress but I'm getting a woody or maybe oxidized taste on the backend. There is no spirit component but I don't know if they oak aged it maybe?

No barrel aging just good ol texas aging, it's a 2015 Raspberry Temptress. Haven't had a Temptress in quits a while & pretty sure that I have never had a raspberry one

Sad the last day is upon me but excited to see what awaits. 500ml bottle with black cap; when opened it wanted to ooze out the bottle. The pour is... foamy.

What they call a Milk Pour in the Czech Republic! Sipping from the bottle I get rich malt, tingly carbonation, and lots of phenolics. Maybe a Belgian Quad style?

It's They Reminisce Over You from Honest Weight, a barrel aged Old Ale! Once the carbonation got knocked out of it I got a bit more dark fruit but no barrel. Still has a weird Belgian thing going on. I don't see a date on the bottle but not sure it's supposed to taste like this. Thanks for giving me the chance to try it @TheOneTC; I really appreciate all the beers and immensely enjoyed my 6 days and extras!

Taste follows nose, though less bourbon than I expected. Finally one I can guess on. It’s got to Be Brewers Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout....[IMG]

Let’s get it going! Little out of order on the days (@Dave_Treat approved). Green bottle, Cantillon cork. Tons of funk, blue cheese on the nose. Pours a reddish tint. Taste is tart berry. If I didn’t know better I’d say it was strawberry. Gonna take my time on this one. Reveal to come.

day 6a from @PA-Michigander is a looooong time want. Bourbon is present with barley wine sweetness. Loads of caramel. Great, great beer.
I’m speechless. Wtf happened? This beer was initially caramel and bourbon overload. As it warmed I got maple and coconut, but in a balanced symphony of flavors. I’m absolutely shocked when I pull this out of the package. I’m still speechless...

Whew....late night. Hope everyone had a festive new year! Should be caught up after these Day 10 & 11 reveals.

Day 10: Dark pour but more brown with red highlights and thinner than other dark pours. Smell is boozy & full of ‘nilla.

Reveal: Singlecut Mr. Alarming. Another new tick & new brewery. Double-barrel, double-vanilla imperial stout. Tasty! Dangerously drinkable with the low viscosity, lower syrupiness.

Sorry for being a little late to post but I did get my 2fer from @treznor opened and drank yesterday. 2 22oz bombers marked open together.[IMG]
Opened the bottle on the right first and saw that it had the Olde Hickory Brewing cap.Poured a dark back with a nice barrel aged nose.[IMG]
Then move on to the second bottle deep black with some wonderful coffee in the nose. As enjoyable as the first one was the second on to me is much better less barrel but the coffee is great. So on to the reveal[IMG]
So here we have the blue label which is The Event Horizon and the red label which is The Event Horizon Spectrum 1. I know every ones tastes are different but I much preferred the Spectrum 1.

Dennis said this one was from Vermont. It’s definitely a HF bottle shape. Nice amount of barrel, but it doesn’t overpower the beer. Lots of vanilla, some coffee. Really nice beer, nothing overpowering, and it’s smooth!!
Not familiar with HF stouts and porters so I cant really guess which bottle it is.

Day 11 is here and before I get to my beer, my family has a tradition. We say no to our friends and family (we get invited to 5 parties/dinners every year). And we go to the strip district. First stop is Pamelas diner for pancakes. Then we buy a ton of food/coffee/candy then we go home and cook. Here is our his and hers lasagna (I can’t eat ricotta and my wife doesn’t eat tomatoes. Haha).
Now that lasagna is done, time for day 11 beer. @Syracuse12 says it’s a wishlist bottle. I caught a glimpse of the purple wax, and if this is what I think it is, I’m excited.
Purple wax, Perennial bottle shape. Great carbonation. Perfect mouthfeel. Tonssss of barrel. Starts off as a stout and finish’s like a Barleywine. This is amazing. I had Perennial Anniversary on my wishlist, and I’m pretty sure I’ve spent over $300 on razzles for this bottle. Can’t believe Dennis sent me 1.
There she is. Perennial Anniversary 2018. I didn’t want this bottle to end. I drank this Beauty over 3 hours last night. Just perfection. Thanks Dennis !! You could have just sent this bottle and I would have been thrilled. It’s been an amazing ride, sad it’s over. But I still have 1 day, and 4 wrapped floaters left.

Day 11 yesterday brought another gem! Yet another Weldwerks logo in the wax. I’ve given up trying to guess what these beers could be. So, I’ll focus on adjuncts. This is another crazy thick beer. Reminds me a lot of the day 10 vanilla rye. Similar sweetness with the same rye spicey finish. This one I think has coffee in it. I taste an enjoyable bitter roast. No clue what it is...but I love it. It’s hitting all the things I love in a beer.

First off, Happy New Year to everyone reading this!!! I can't believe 12 DoX is almost over! On Day 11, @dannyfayy sent me this super sexy, orange waxed, 12oz bottle of thiccc stout. I was out and about running errands and delivering a local Secret Santa gift to a friend. I shared this beaut with him. I was pretty sure this was what @KyleDavis opened on Day 10... Voodoo Black Magick Aged In Double Oaked Bourbon Barrels...

And I was right! This beer was a little sweeter than the other Voodoos I had earlier in the 12 DoX. Nonetheless, it was well balanced with notes of chocolate, dark fruit and tons of delicious oak. It was a tasty beverage for certain! Thanks Dan.

When I got home we hosted a little dinner party and shared some of the extras Dan sent. I think I am down to just the Endless Ending and the Veil stout he sent me as extras, which I hope to finish in the next couple days. First we drank the Grist House Kapow Kandy, which was a heavily fruited sour with strawberry, passion fruit, guava, APRICOTS! and hibiscus. This one really impressed us. You could literally taste every adjunct in the beer. That was really cool to me. Usually when I drink a sour with guava and passion fruit, I get only those fruits. Thanks for the tasty extra, @dannyfayy!

And to ring in the new year, I had earmarked this beer to share... Casey FBP Raspberry and Peach! The friend we had over love sours, so we drank about 6-8 different ones. This was the best one of the night! I got more raspberry than peach with a more restrained acidity than I have noticed from the FB series as of late. This was a great Casey beer!

Thanks again for all these awesome beers, @dannyfayy! I can't wait for Day 12, even though it is the end of 12 DoX!

I had to babysit on Monday night so I couldn’t get to my day 10. I asked my sender and she was cool with me holding it for a day. So I shared day 10 and 11 with some friends last night at a brewery.
Poured a dark brown. Tons of sweetness and vanilla. My guess was a pastry barleywine or imperial brown.
It says it’s a stout. I wouldn’t call it that. Very sweet but quite good. And a new brewery tick for me. Wish I got hazelnuts. My favorite stout adjunct.

    Day 11.
