this time a deep purple. Thinking maybe a plum, maybe some vanilla to mellow it out.

This beer was great. For some reason I had thought I've never had Transient hops, but saw I had this before, and glad to tick it again. Then I got curious and looked, I've had a couple of their hops! Maybe I'm just getting old with bad memory...

Then onto the actual day 3!

Based on the bottle size, expected a stout. Wouldn't be surprised if this was Transient. Cliff seems to have a transient pipeline straight to his house! I get a lot of fudge on the nose, but not so much on the finish. Boozy, yet goes down fairly smooth. Whatever this is, it's delcious.

Big boozy stout, chocolate and vanilla and something fruity.

Christmas round 2 is over. I can finally sit down and drink my Day 6 beer brought to me by @JasonR1975 This beer pours dark and tastes of chocolate syrup, and vanilla beans. I’m getting a slight banana but part of me thinks it’s just because Danny sent me a picture of his 12DoX beer from Homes. What could this be?

Tonight’s beer brings tons of coconut floaters again. Deep black, and thick AF.


Based on the wax and @edhizdeid location I was initially thinking Fremont but this was too much more to be Fremont. I finally gave up and was content with lux coconut stout.




Deadmoon from Structures Brewing. I thought this was a new to me brewery but checking my notes Eddy also sent me a beer from them, in 2019, that I rated well above average. These guys make fantastic beers and are off almost everyone’s radar.

Day 3:

small bottle and guessing it’s a mead day! Top of the wrapper and cork gave it away. From Pips. Pours a dark red and can immediately taste the berries in this. I’m guessing raspberry. Very sweet. I’m going to guess vanilla blackjack or presto. but if i remember correctly, vanilla blackjack was much darker. Going to go with Presto.

 

Boom! This is my first guess that I’ve gotten right in my entire lifetime of doing this!

If there are not raspberries in this, well then, I officially give up. Once it warmed a bit, I thought there was another fruit and settled on blueberries. Pretty tart and bursting with fruit, figured this was a sour from sapwood with the 2 fruits.


Nailed the fruits for once but didn't even cross my mind that it would be bourbon barrel aged or have vanilla. When it really warmed up, I could make out hints of a bourbon barrel but never found the vanilla. Either way this was a delicious beer that I enjoyed over the course of a movie, thanks Cody!

 

Fell asleep before posting, but day 3 was consumed on time from @Bum4ever



Cap gives away the brewery, so made sure to use the included swag #pgw. As it warmed up I could start tasting the adjuncts, maybe vanilla and chocolate?



Rocky Road soft serve - so I was sorta on the right track. Wife and I really liked this, and I wasn’t too sweet surprisingly, so went well with all the leftover cookies.

 

That might be my favorite sour sapwood release in 2021. I'm glad you seemed to enjoy it as much as I did!

 

Took to the die and coin yesterday and it chose bottle 2B. I think I'm actually 1 day ahead so plan on drinking 2A as todays beer so everything is back on track.


Poured thiccc with basically no carb. It was nice being able to split one of these big stouts with someone- my brother really enjoyed getting in on the fun. Super sweet pastry stout with notes of vanilla and almont. Definitely modern times, after searching through untappd based on the adjuncts we tasted... we guessed dragons mask.

Chaos Grid Final Course 2021!!! For what its worth, Dragon Mask is one of the beers in this blended beast.... I'll give myself partial credit. I remember getting a sip of this at 7.0. Very nice to have a big pour. Killer bottle @campa86
