Day 8 from @Bum4ever . He mentioned something about Cherry coming to me, this could be it. Poured pale so maybe not. Very good. Saison fur sure. I get a little wine tones. This is very good. I haven't had much from Sante Adairius, I'll definitely seek out more.

Day 9 from @edhizdeid pours beautifully.

It drank like a restrained de Garde beer. Tons of fruit, very effervescent. I guessed raspberries.

I got the raspberries but didn’t get the oak barrel at all. Another winner from Eddy!

I realized after I shipped that you had mentioned coffee wasn’t your thing. Sounds like that didn’t go too far for your tastes.

Gonna play a little catch up.

I have been on time and tasted blind on every beer, but given my regular proof of being unable to identify anything, I’ll save my lame guessing.

My last day from @ninjembro and I think this one was my favorite of a stellar bunch:
Immediate smell of maple and I am already loving it. Bourbon on the nose as well. Taste is all maple up front followed by a good bit of vanilla and a nice bourbon finish. Super thick and really great blend of all the flavors. The bottle size and plain black cap don't give much to go on for a brewery or specific beer, but this is excellent.

Man, they nailed this one. Since my only experience with sapwood has been this BIF, I kind of figured they mostly did sours, but they make a hell of a BA stout as well. Thanks for a fun 6 days of new breweries and beers Cody!

Sapwood has traditionally been hops and sours (with the occasional stout/other BA beer on draft now and then), and just this year started trying to get into the BA stout game (with a club add-on for 2022 that obv I joined on top of the sour membership). Glad you enjoyed! I absolutely loved MBSV on tap, and it was an absolute no brainer to send it to you after I tried it. Cheers Josh! Glad you enjoyed the "wrapped" beers

Appeared to be a Kane bottle, so I got out some propar glassware.
Lots of dark fruits, some toffee, and red wine. Great beer. Guessing Barleywine aged in red wine barrels.

:joy:Keeping the 12 (not 6 like I signed up for ) Days of XMas train a rollin’. This was last night. Cheat sheet said it was an adjuncted BA stout. Red wax similar to side project is familiar. Guessed this one right and damn was it great!
    Thanks again @Swcreed013 !!

    Sour, funk, fleshy. Maybe grapes

    Plum skin !

Bottle 2. Thought it would be a small Trillium sour. Cap was covered but typical trillium size bottle.

Damn. Not sour. But tasted like chocolate cake

My day 8 from @tsgooch79 was another awesome vanilla ba stout!
I knew it had vanilla in it, but didn’t have a guess as to what it was. It got even better as it warmed.
I haven’t had too many stouts from Triple Crossing. Now I’ll be on the look out.

Last night I went over to a buddy's house for the 2nd night of our Christmas bourbon tradition and decided to bring my next WeldWerks from @vitaminvert. I rolled a 6, so this is the beer we drank...
It poured a typical Noche black with motor 10W-30 viscosity. We didn't think there were any adjuncts in this one, but the barrel was telling us maybe so. We picked up honey, caramel, dark roast coffee and dates. I remarked that it reminded me of baklava with some espresso.
Medianoche Warehouse H!!! This one was aged 21 months in Blantons barrels without temperature control to mirror the aging conditions of the bourbon that originally filled the barrels. Luckily I brought a bottle of Blantons Gold over to share for our bourbon thing, so we did a SxS. It was remarkable how well the bourbon notes could be pulled from the beer while drinking them simultaneously. Cheers Mr. Androo! This was a tasty one!!!

delayed posting reveal, my bad @Bum4ever

so it was a speling, with raspberries and honey. The raspberries really came out as it warmed, and then the sour hit once it got to room temp.

Getting back on track for posting on time with day 6 (of 10). Blank cap and cork, so guessing Tilquin again as it looked the same as the earlier day @Bum4ever @valrxman

Well rolled a 1 on the die tonight so that means 1a and 1b from @Dave_Treat. Starting with 1a plain brown wrapper and unmarked cap[IMG]
Beer pour dark and black and nose says barrel aged. The taste is sweet and has vanilla for sure but not sure of much else.[IMG]
Letting it warm a little it's still sweet and the vanilla is more pronounced there is something else I'm missing but well not sure. On to the reveal.
This is Orion from Aslin Brewing a Bourbon Barrel aged stout with oreos and vanilla and cocoa nibs. Well I had sweet and vanilla so I was close enough. Great beer Dave really enjoyed it. Now on to Beer 1b.
Once again plain brown wrapper and an unmarked cap.
Beer pour black and the nose says coconut and barrel aged. Don't get much else but the barrel which is bourbon and the coconut. To me this is really good as I probably like coconut as much as Dave himself. On to the reveal.
This is Virginia Beach from Aslin Brewing Stout aged in bourbon barrels with toasted coconut and coconut candy. Again a really good beer Dave and thanks for sharing both of these.
