Where is the plastic thing inside the Hill Farmstead cap? This is wonderful. Thanks Nick.

Day 9 thanks to @JasonR1975 brings a familiar cork and cage and bottle shape. I knew I was in for a treat with some more Homes goodness. And I was right. Wow this bottle is delicious. The acidity and carb in this are spot on. Again, I don’t know much about Homes, but this is great.

Homes Beneath the Scenes - Red Currant. Love the Pinot Barrels and Red Currants. Such a great result. Thanks for sharing Jason!

Day 9 is courtesy of @robgage.

I tried not peeking at the cap, but couldn't help but notice it was Modern Times. I was excited, since I sent out all the Modern Times beers I had to my targets this year.

I liked this from the first sip. I got a lot of chocolate at the start, but that happens a lot to me with stouts and it's not always right. As I drank more, vanilla started to come through.

    Medicare Now for All!

This is so cool. I actually sent this beer to @SouthernSips and it was the one I sent that was the toughest to let go. I hadn't tried it yet, but I always empty my cellar in this, even if I hadn't had it, so it was great to get to try it and it was solid.

    Thanks again, Rob!

    Day 9 from @vitaminvert and I rolled a 3...
Once again it poured thiccc AF. I got notes of caramel, candied cherries, vanilla, and that token dark chocolate.

Medianoche OWA! Noche aged in OWA barrels for over 22 months, but for this beer to match the barrels that were used, WW incorporated four different wheat malts to make up 35% of the mash bill to make a wheated batch of Medianoche. Just like last night I just had to pair it with the bourbon for a SxS.

I think this one had fewer similarities to OWA than did the Warehouse K to the Blantons last night. Nonetheless, I preferred this beer because of it's complexity and the bourbon notes that were imparted on the base beer. Maybe the heavily wheated mashbill made me feel that way too. Cheers Androo! This beer f%ck$!

I also received another package today from @Dan_K with 3 more wrapped beers, 2 awesome looking bourbon samples and 2 WW cans. "American Cooperage Society" LMAO. I guess #bombmerv is a real thing...
I drank one of the cans this evening as well...

    Cheers @Dan_K!

Day 9 from @SouthernSips brought another hearty, heavy stout.

I sipped this for a very long time. I was trying to find the adjuncts in it and finally gave up.

Day 9 and @tsgooch79 stopped by to exchange some beers, so I opened day 10 (from @blassor ) with him as I know he enjoys the darker beers :

Nice little barrel aged Barleywine. Some toffee, lots of barrel, went down really smooth.
Angry Chair - Daves barrel aged Barleywine. A wishlist bottle. I got to try at good vibes a few years ago, but always wanted to try it when my palette wasn’t shot. Thanks Brando. This was fantastic.
Opened up this tasty new tick extra tonight as well. Always fun to get to use my Lambic glass… Thanks Brandon.

Have a little catching up to do... apologies, I don't think i've been sober since xmas eve.

    Day 8 was bottle #10 from @UcDru
    [IMG]
Frosted bottle, pours like motor oil... definitely a weldwerks. With the amount of coffee in this beer i knew exactly what it was....
Dippio Noche! Very nice treat to have this one again.

    Day 9 I rolled a 1 from @campa86. First up was 1A
    [IMG]
Bottle Logic for sure... getting some coffee and vanilla/marshmallow. This is damn good.
Scatter Signal... Knowing today was likely bottle logic, I wore the T-Shirt Campa also sent me. Had to take a selfie with the beer. As far as the beer goes, this is up there with one of the best stouts I've had from bottle logic!

Went right into 1B....which of course was another BL stout.
Bourbon barrels and vanilla.. i think i know what this one is...

Was feeling like shit and so took a break. Negative COVID test yesterday meant I got to play catch-up.

First up was this dime from @oline73

This is exactly what I want in a beer. Light, crisp, complex, smooth, balanced, fruitiness from hops.

Thank you Steve! The worst part about this beer is that isn't served in 3L monster mugs. A masterpiece.

And next, was the exact opposite style from the ever generous @Tee2Grn

Good fuck the nose on this thing. Strawberry to the face.

The flavor is straight barrel aged chocolate covered strawberries over ice cream. I'm floored by this beer. The Goose cap ... *Checks notes*, surely not. You have to drive through Detroit to get to Chicago from there. Nobody would risk driving through Detroit. And yet... The conclusion is inescapable.

Ian, your a mad man. All I can say is thanks brother.

I failed in my duties yesterday. I had an extra from @valrxman . This was fantastic.

Then life got it in the way and I missed my wrapped beer.

So, stayed Day 9 at lunch today. Another fantastic lambic from @valrxman. 3f on the cork. Love the dank funky taste. No fruit but maybe some oak. Poured a darker yellow almost brown with good head. I guess Golden Blend.

    Thanks @valrxman

Shamefully, I'm a day behind as yesterday just kind of got away from me. Day 9a from @Aguirre.

Guessing Side Project sour based on location, bottle shape, and the plain silver cup.

Not too acidic, has some light fruit that's really nice. Maybe peach? There's a little something in the finish that thinks maybe it isn't peach, maybe plum? Not the right color for plum though.

Side Project Fuzzy! Got the peaches right, guess the Missouri peaches taste just a bit different than the Georgia peaches I'm used to (kidding, I'm just glad I figured out it was peaches).

Day 4 from @Coorsy . thicc stout. I'm getting barrel but no adjuncts. The cap had print under it that said "what are you waiting for"

Since it asked, I was waiting to get through the concrete masquerading as wax. Holy shit was that a lot of work. But it was worth it. This beer is delicious.

This is exactly what I want in a beer. My favorite style, an adjunct free barrel aged stout. You're the man Corey.

Definitely guessing Side Project again, but don't have a strong guess on this one. Lighter acid, lighter fruit flavor. Maybe nectarines? Not getting a particularly strong citrus flavor but nectarines can be pretty light.
