Hey all, I'm considering getting into home brewing. Any suggestions on kits or websites to get me going in the right direction? Thanks!!

Buy How to Brew by John Palmer (http://www.walmart.com/ip/4565060) best $10.50 you'll spend. Order from Northern Brewer or Midwest Supplies so you know the ingredients are fresh with a good amount of sales going through them. Clean and sanitize more than you think you need to and be patient!

...then ask questions on stuff you might be in doubt about, before brewing.

Read as much as you can. Books, blogs, websites. The more prepping you do the better because from what I see, too many people jump into brewing without knowing what they are doing and I am very guilty of this when I started as well.

Midwest Supplies has some great starter kits that provide just about everything you need to get started minus a brew pot. enjoy!

Make a checklist before you start.

Get an auto-siphon and a wine thief.

If you're cooling with ice, get a 20 lb bag, you will need it.

Patience is a virtue, so relax, have a beer, and don't worry too much.

homebrewfinds often posts great deals, like variouse groupons for 50% off the starter kits (you can buy them no matter where you live)

    check out local homebrew clubs
