Has anyone else opened one and gotten nothing but chlorine in the aroma and flavor?

I tried some the other day and didn't notice anything like what you describe.

Had one yesterday. No chlorine, but overall, I think it needs a year or 2 to get to where I want it (based on past vintages).

I've had a couple different bottles and no chlorine either. I agree that it is young though and can use some age.

I shared one with 2 guys at Lost Abbey's tasting room and thought it was absolutely delicious.

I had the same bottle as MrFootStones, and like him got absolutely no off flavors at all. It was a little more sour than I expect from Cable Car, but otherwise just like the other vintages I've had. Chlorine is a really strange smell to have in a beer, have you contacted them?

CC is definitely my favorite American wild. I haven't had a chance to try this vintage yet but have only heard good things from this batch.

I found this batch to be incredible. Lots of cheese funk and exotic citrus flavors. I agree it will be even better in a 1-2 years but damn it is tasty right out of the gate.

:( Very sad - looks like some bad luck with that bottle, Al.

Definitely chlorine, extremely strong in the aftertaste.

Maybe it was because you drank 4 incredible actual gueuzes/lambic right before the AWAs.

That's like getting laid by your favorite porn star and then expecting the hot chick you're taking to prom to meet the same standards later that evening.

I got the chemical thing for sure :( I don't think it was hallucinations but if it was those other bottles truly were that amazing

Drank one a couple days ago....left me drooling. And not because of chlorine.
