Seems like this year, many brewers across the U.S. came out with their first attempt at making a Gose style brew. Which did you find to be your favorite new Gose that was released this year?

For the couple new ones I had distributed in MD, Victory's Kirsch Gose, was hands down the best crafted one I had amongst the 3-4 other new arrivals. Honorably mention was Union's Old Pro Gose. Rest I had were pretty lame/not tasty.

My favorite Gose so far this year/season is Sixpoint Gose 2.0 (Best By December 2015). That beer has a very enjoyable balance of tartness, salt and coriander. It is the 'Goldilocks' of Gose beers!!

    Cheers!

Rechecked my results...DESTIHL "Here Gose Nothing" would be my #2 this summer but not sure if they made a Gose previously. If so, count that one as a really solid one.

Victory Kirsch Gose lacked for me.

The only other newly brewed one that I had was Sixpoint Jammer 2.0 and it was a huge improvement for my preferences over 1.0. As such my vote Gose for this one.

When did the 2.0 hit your shelves? I haven't seen it yet down in MD, just stacks of the original Jammer.

    1) Lost Rhino Gose.
    2) Victory Kirsch Gose.
    3) Anderson Valley The Kimmie, The Yink, and the Holy Gose.

I still have to taste Jammer 2.0 to see how it stacks up.

Ditto, the Sixpoint Jammer Gose 2.0 version.....while I enjoyed the regular version and bought several 6 pks of it, the new iteration is even more delicious....kudos!

I have no knowledge of MD but 2.0 is on PA shelves right now. Maybe it first arrived 2 weeks ago?

    Cheers!

    AV came out last year.
I'll try to find the Lost Rhino if I go down to Dulles/Leesburg area. They don't distribute north of the border.

I don't think it was new this year, but I just tried Lost Nation's Gose 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. Westbrook's was leagues better than any other Gose that I've had, but Lost Nation's was great. I can't wait to try their citra dry hopped, Gose, The Wind.

So many people like this and it was a drain pour for me. I suspect the two cans I got were mishandled cause it had a putrid taste that made me dump it. Not new but Westbrook Gose and Anderson Valley Blood Orange Gose are my two faves.

Did y'all get any Westbrook Bearded Break-In in New York? That was the best gose I've tried - hopped with Sorachi Ace which isn't usually a favorite of mine, but it worked perfectly for that beer.

You all have me... YES ME!!! to Thank... no HONOR... because I demand... DEMANDED brewers state side made more of this style..

yup you all have more Gose than you can shake a stick at, all because I taunted domestic brewers to even dare trying this brew years ago.. yup yup.

    It's a fact..

    ...

so in answer to your question...

Still haven't found a new one in 2015 that I had that has blown my brains out... just sayin

Damn, looks like Jammer 2.0 gets the most mentions thus far. Haters fading into obscurity, whereas the true-school congregation moving things forward with positive feedback and earnest hearts! #FTW

And its time to #levelUP again, as Jammer 3.0 will be in the works, to take it even higher. We're already working on it - along with many other interesting things. Got any suggestions? Hit us up: BEER at SIXPOINT dot com

    peace!

EvilTwin Mission Gose was my absolute favorite, and Victory's was pretty good.
I didn't care for Jammer, but I'm willing to give 2.0 another shot.

The worst was DuClaw Umeboshi. Smelled and tasted like drain water *shudder*

Really liked Kirsch Gose. I also tried de Garde Hose for the first time this year and probably love it the best.

I dig on the Westbrook, too, when I can get it

LOL CLOSE!!! Evil Twin's version is not as salty as the WB original. Anyone had any WB variants? I remember Gozu was pretty good...they added Yuzu Fruit. It would be interesting to see a MASSIVE line of Gose's from Westbrook. Wouldn't it be amazing if they did like 20 kinds with different fruit? Similar to De Garde with the Berliner Weisse Style. But De Garde is a whole different level of awesomeness in the sour world.

Favorite sours right now BESIDES GOSE:
Side Project/Jester King/Avery/Prairie/Hill Farmstead (the sour ones :stuck_out_tongue:)/De Garde

Almanac is good but not great. I love Prairie's subtlety in many of their tart saison selections.

    P.S. CROOKED STAVE FTW!!!

Creature Comforts Cucumber Lime Tritonia is probably the best and most unique I've had this year; I am biased, in that, I do live in Athens and the bar/restaurant where I work was able to get a second keg!! The perfect most refreshing beer for the sweltering heat!

I seriously wonder why they don't? Did Stillwater steal some thunder from Westbrook with a WILD gose? IMO, that is what was so amazing about it, the Brettanomyces went absolutely perfect with the base gose.
