Beer Message, I believe.
As an aside: I've never quite understood why there are so many forms of the phrase "Private Message" used on BA. For as long as I have ever been on forums (nearly 2 decades), I have never seen anything other than PM used until BA. In all fairness, all the old forums (V-bulletin) actually had a button to message people that said "PM". DM (Direct Message I am guessing?) would be acceptable, but BM is bizarre to me. It's not a beer message...it's a Private Message...about beer.
Gotta slide into the DMs, man
That would be better than sliding into someone's BM.
It might Depend.
So I won tickets, and convinced my wife to join me for a little weekend trip. I've never been to prop day, or really any GI release.
What should I be expecting? We're group A, does that mean we get kicked out of the area once Group B starts? What is this market?
I'm in the last group. Wonder if that means the market and taps will be totally picked over by then?
You guys are killing me. You can enter the event when it begins. You just can't buy your bottles until your time.
The market is where merch and taps and whatnot will be. Group A means you buy your bottles during your time slot.
That's it, hand over your tickets. I'll take care of any confusion for you guys.
So, double barrel aged is confirmed for FOBAB, anyone want to take bets it'll be on for Prop Day?
It's also an entirely different setup than last year's Prop Day. This will be more of a festival environment from 12-5pm, with designated times to get your bottles. Arrive plenty of time before 12pm, enjoy the fest and get your bottles. Outside of that, we have no idea what to expect.
Its a little odd the fest begins at 12 and the first bottle slot is 11AM. You would think they would start at the same time for group A to be able to grab their bottles and then have a place to hang out.
The prop day page says you can only pick up bottles during your assigned time, so be sure you’re there dying your assigned time.
This is also probably a reason group A starts at 11. Let those people get in and get their bottles.
Freudian slip or should I be glad I didn't get a ticket?
They didn’t change their twitter handle to Ghoul’s Island for nothin’.
That one was pretty good, but I gotta say, in addition to the BM/PM thing, I’ve not experienced anywhere online that enjoys pointing out typo/auto corrects like this message board does.
I actually hold myself back from pointing them out - and there are a lot of them (not implying you). I would say there are way more on this message board than any of the others I have frequented. It's just a pet peeve of mine, but I rarely point them out...I just make mental notes in my head.
Drunk posting probably happens more here than on the average message board.
Thank God for the edit option!
Mine are 99% due to phone posting. That is a huge contributor as well, I would imagine.
Liked for turning these ridiculous Beer Advocate idioms into coherent English.
Im with you. I don’t mind the typos. The pointing out of typos is a pet peeve of mine as well.
Haha ‘im’. Haha.
He said typos are a pet peeve of his but he rarely points them out. Anyone not like people interpreting other people's posts like I just did?
Guys, guys! Save this kind of productive conversation for the Dark lord 2018 thread ... How else will it hit 666 pages???
I would assume all of these will be available at the market?
Sauce, pie, gelato, schnapps, and a workshirt.
I like pie...
I wonder if the work shirt will be mechanic-style with a name patch. (Admittedly, I'm having a hard time imagining anything else being ubiquitously accepted as being called a 'work shirt.')
gimme the schnapps
I'm down for a Bourbon County Coffee Stout BBQ sauce
Yes, it has been confirmed to be at Prop day this year (on draft.)
Where have you seen this information?
“In an email, Lisa Derus, spokesperson for The High End, AB InBev’s business unit focused on its craft and import brands, told Tenemu that the variant will be released as part of the brewery’s 2017 Proprietor’s Day event, which is scheduled for Nov. 19.”
Well that's pretty awesome. Looks like I'll have to use those 5 tokens sparingly.
I will be taking 4 of the tokens from my +1, I guess!
Damn...no one needs a friend? Still? Come on...
So are more tokens available for purchase and / or are they pretty adamant about taking your tokens? (for those who went to prop day last year)
You will not be able to purchase extra tokens. Read their FAQ page on Proprietors Day.
Dang, must have missed that. Gotta choose wisely with only 5
Just got the email instructions for prop day.
They are really stressing the get there a half hour before your pickup slot. At the same time, if I show up sometime between 11 and 12:30 you are going to give me my beer... Because that is my time slot ... or don't randomly assign time slots and let people pick them...
