2nd Annual Berliner Bash on the Bay!

Join us as we close down the street to host the 2nd Annual Berliner Bash on the Bay! Breweries throughout the state of FL will be at PEG's on Saturday, April 20th tapping their most creative Florida Weisse.

What's a Florida Weisse?
Some say it's Florida's new signature beer. It's a spin-off of the traditional Berliner Weisse which is a light, tart, thirst-quenching, low alcohol (2-5%) wheat beer. Rather than adding a sweet syrup to soften the sour punch, Florida brewers are adding fruit! Lots of fruit! All kinds of fruit! Fruits you've never heard of before! The bright fruit flavor can add a subtle sweetness to the sour beer, or an add another tart flavor to the already sour beer. A FL Weisse can be like a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day or it can be lip puckering, mouth watering, tongue buckling, and eye-popping sour - consider yourself warned.

Tickets:
One ticket will get you one 8oz FL Weisse. Tickets will be sold at the front gate. CASH ONLY. Ticket prices and ticket limit will be announced at a later date.

Reservations:
We are no longer taking reservations. However, there will be space in the beer garden and streets for people to drink and mingle. We will have some tables and chairs, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own lawn chair.

Food:
Everyone will be able to purchase food. However, we might put out a special menu that in order to accommodate all of you. More info regarding food will be posted closer to the date.

And please remember, the bash in the street ends at 5pm. You are welcome to hang out in the garden, but we must open up the streets for the Third Saturday in Gulfport.

Peg's has no issue with bottle shares. Just make sure you tip appropriately, bring your own glass, and order some food.

 

Everyone should try the Angry Chair Raspberry Florida Weisse if its there. Fucking amazing!

 

Expect a large turnout.

 

I had a bunch of people reach out to me after Huna day about a bottle share. I reserved a large portion of the deck again but seating is full. Like the other events at Peg's, this won't prevent anyone from coming by and sharing bottles, so please do, Tim. I'm sure it will turn into standing room only after a few hours...
