Okay, I so I have 3.5 gallons of wheat/2row wort left over from a buddy's brew day earlier this evening.

    What to do? Lol

    My ideas:

    Topping off my sours.

Doing a full carboy of my year old coolship that tastes like a bad Fantome bottle.

Pitching Cali ale yeast then dumping some bottle dregs into a new sour tomorrow.

    Save it for starters.

I'd do that.. save it for starters.

You can boil it up, put it in jars, and then seal it up.

When you go to use it, you can boil it again for a quick minute if you are worried about contamination, and roll as usual.

I'd be inclined to pitch a yeast suitable to the grain bill for a cheap 3.5 gals of beer.

Wow, I am impressed. I never have leftover wort. I always come up a little short (no bad jokes please ;-) and end up adding a little water to the primary. How big of a boil is he doing?

He did four 6 gallon batches but got a little drunk by the last two.

I ended up just topping off my sours since they had the same grain bill.
