The 64 oz. glass beer jug is a growler. Everyone calls it a growler. It seems to be the universally accepted name.

However, 32 oz. growlers are becoming more and more common, but these receptacles don't have a universally-accepted name. So I'm just curious... what is the most widely-used descriptor for these vessels? I think growlette may be the most commonly used name simply based on my own observations. I prefer grumbler myself.

    What do you call them?

I call them a growler. Or depending what I got filled, I've also been known to call it a "long night".

Seems weird that neither of these is an option on the survey.
I find both acceptable, use them pretty much interchangeably.

I understand the flip top glass costing more, but why does it cost more to fill it? Isn't 32oz of beer 32oz regardless of the container?

Howler for me, typically, though I've heard it called a bullet before, which I also kinda like. But "howler" has a ring to it.
