In the past month I've had my first:

    Flower Power
    Plead the Fifth
    Alchemy Hour
    Heady Topper
    Ground Break Saison

Loved them all and currently have a six pack of Flower Power and two 4 packs of Plead residing in my closet. Alchemy Hour I drank on tap all night last night when I finally got to my first bar in, like, three months my life has been so boring.

I just got a 6-pack of Velvet Merlin and it is great. I'm assuming he means the BA version won't be available again.

It will cost the same as parabola and sucaba i believe. That seems the price point for those beers.

Velvet Merkin is the ba velvet merlin. It was only available at the tasting room or barrelworks before this year. I will be going to the release as i cant make it to the parabola one coming this weekend.

great lakes- alchemy hour(mosaic hops add a distinct taste to this one)
pipeworks-something hoppy this way comes(just scored a fresh bottle friday and i can't wait)
    alesmith-speedway stout(has to be 1 of the top 5 non-ba coffee stouts)
lagunitas imperial stout(1 of the better imperials i have tried at a $4.50 a bomber price point)
oso's lupilin maximus(gotta have the hop cone in it though
and i know you only asked for 5 but i have to throw in new glarus raspberry tart, might have to cross the border and try and find some more. it's funny because i have tried all these beers in the last three months, if i went out a year my list would probably quintuple. it has been a great year for beer in chi-town.

I fortunate to have a friend that opened up one of his old Cantillons for me last night. It's crazy that 12ish years ago he bought 4 cases of Cantillon on sell off.

These are the ones that stick out the most that I've had within the last week or so and don't have any lying around. The other stuff (KBS) I have plenty of (relatively speaking)

I had an El Cedro the other night and it was so good I didn't want to follow it up with anything else I had on hand, since I knew nothing could compare.

Green Flash Serrano Chile Stout is currently on tap at our Flying Saucer and I have been tearing through it. I'm afraid it will be gone soon.

I had My first date with Hill Farmstead this last month and can not get over it!
    S&S 6

    Head Hunter wow!

Heady Topper have had my hands on a lot , but not enough

Enjoy by 4-1 was great ! 4-20 was good also, just not the same profile.

Pliny the Elder I can't get enough. Amazing how it still stands tall against all the new Ipa class members.

Lagunitas Sucks Hbc 366 an expermental hop strain that is an un filtered brewery only exclusive. Omg! Is it good.
