I just reread my review of this beer (I really did not like it). I laughed ay my own review -
"I am pretty certain that the German word for Zima is Gose."

Kentucky Breakfast Stout. Canadian Breakfast Stout, on the other hand, was a delight.

Surly Coffee Bender. (BA rating 92 Outstanding)
I thought it was amazing at GABF so I had my BIL send me a whole can. It tasted like stale coffee and stale beer, I tried very hard but couldn't finish it and ended drainpouring. I don't know if the beer was just not fresh, or if it's something I just don't like. Even the aroma was a little unpleasant.

Tyranena Carnal Knowledge Double Chocolate Stout. (BA rating 4.2)
First sip tasted amazing. But after that it all went downhill. It went to cloyingly sweet and hard to drink after that, and the more I drank the worse it got. It also seemed to have a metallic taste to it. I tried to cleanse my pallatte with crackers and I still ended up pouring some down the drain.

Founder's Breakfast Stout (Fresh tastes like green chili forward coffee) I'll revisit with some age.

Bourbon County is mine. I am not a fan of big bourbon stouts.

Pretty much every Dubbel or Tripel, not a fan of those Belgian styles, except for the fruit Lambics. Also Throw in Founders Breakfast stout as i had it recently, not a fan.

My girlfriend drank one of those last night, she wasnt sure what to think of it.

But for me: Grapefruit Sculpin. After all the BA hype I picked up a six Pack when it was available. I felt like the grapefruit tasted artificial, and I also feel like so many IPA now have heavy citrus notes so it also felt pointless. Ended up giving it away.

Not exactly a "great" beer, but Ballast Point Dorado has nice ratings on here and I found it borderline undrinkable.

Blind Pig and KBS. I suspect age is a factor in both. One was perhaps too fresh, while the other was perhaps not fresh enough. Can't verify the age of the Blind Pig. The date was unreadable.

I really didn't understand the hype behind "Westly" from SARA....I thought it was possibly the most over hyped beer yet on the whalez list.

Sorry, I'm sure that will get me some hateful comments haha

A couple of the Alpine beers I've tried have fallen short of my expectations when I acquired said beers.

La Fin du Monde. I walked through a Chicago blizzard to buy it, yet I hated it and ended up drain pouring it.

Revolution/Wicked Weed Wicked Fist for me. There's a few others, but it was the style, not the actual beer, that I didn't like. I'm sure the beer was well made, just not a style that I like, so I figured that doesn't count.

How could I say it was great if I didn't like it? This is kind of like the tree falling in the woods.
