I realize this beer is only in its second batch of release (November of 201)2, but I am curious how those who have recently tried the 2011 b1 release felt the beer has held up. Did it fall off like Hunah tends to?

    yes.

opened one (11/2011) a couple days ago, flavors are very muted compared to one opened earlier last year. the base itself is still fine, but the mexican chocolate and spice have dropped away.

Thanks for the info. That was my suspicion. Will consume accordingly.

You have a b1? Cool. Side by side?

Had an aged one at this year's release. The flavors dropped out quite a bit from the original release. Also note that this year's release has less spiciness than last year's, so the two might be more similar now than they would be if you could compare the two vintages fresh.
