    Just got back from the Portland pub. The profiterole & pork belly is pretty good, and the "dessert" pretzel is insane. Definitely recommend both.

    As usual, the vertical was great to try, although I was disappointed there was no nitro version this time. 2008 seems like it might be going a little downhill - no head on the pour and the body was noticeably thinner than the others. 2009 and 2010 were drinking great, nice and creamy and chocolatey. 2011 remains the weakest link. 2012 was quite fresh and tasty, and still had some noticeable hop presence, which I can't recall from any previous release.

    Yay, the Abyss price has gone up again! You can now get 2 bottles for what 3 bottles of 2007 used to cost. (Or 5 bottles of the 2006.)

    Granted, one would need to adjust for inflation, but even with that in mind it is about a 20% price increase from 2007 to 2012... and you know what? They will sell out, sounds like a pretty solid business plan. Btw, weren't you in line paying $14/btl (12.50 w/case discount) at the HotD release?:wink:


    nb - I didn't even enter in factors such as cost of labor (minimum wage has increased 12% during that same time period), cost of materials etc...

    (I just want to complain. I know the price is going to keep going up if they're going to get it. Geesh.)

    Well, your empirical data is flawed since it's a 40% increase (14 from 10.), so it was either an oversight, throwing the rest of your conclusions into disarray, or it was an attempt to mislead, further supporting your evidence that you are unequivocally nefarious.
