Came out this week, anyone grab it? I've never been way into Adelberts but certainly had high hopes for this. I didn't make it very far, had to drain pour it. Way carbonated, strange smell, no detectable bourbon or really chocolate for that matter. I haven't dumped a beer in ages, certainly not something I enjoy doing. What did you think?

All of their beers are drainpours. Just awful.

Had one a couple nights ago. HUGE chocolate flavor. Way too much in fact as there was not enough sweetness to back that level of dark chocolate flavor. Also there was no detectable barrel note. Carbonation wasn't too much in this bottle though.

I'd only consider this one as a share beer as most people only wanted 2-3oz worth before the chocolate bitterness overwhelmed.

I picked up a bottle of this, I've like some of their stuff, I wonder if this would get better or even worse with some age.

It certain tasted a little on the "green" side. I'm throwing the other one in the back of the aging cabinet. I doubt it will get worse with time on it.

I had it on tap at the brewery and it was good.

But, yeah, every bottle was over carbonated. I am glad they are offering this at least. Good move IMO.

Who still has an empty bottle of this sitting around after two months? It shouldn't take two months to verify this. It's nice they admitted the mistake when others won't, but how many are really able to take them up on this?

There have been a few times theyve owned up to mistakes and offered swaps or refunds, and i know they pulled two kegs from westside alehouse because there was something amiss.

I happen to like at least 3 of their offerings and respect them alot more than other breweries who dont own up to craptastic/infected/overcarbed beer.

It's pretty cool of them really, I gave barrel of love a low review on untappd and someone from the brewery offered me a swap then. Their beers are all fairly decent with the exception of barrel of love IMO.

I do still have a bottle. I bought two when it first came out.
