Last night: 2011 Big John "imperial Porter with cocoa nibs" . Fantastically complex, cocoa, dark plums and fruit and even a little pepper like heat, although pepper is not listed as ingredient. Spicy

Tonight: 2/6/11 Night Stalker: flattish hop flavored soy sauce. I had purchased this with a 2012, and 2013 last year, I didn't like the 2013 at all fresh, and have heard the 2012 is often " infected".

Dang... I am sorry that your experience with Night Stalker went poorly, as I had a 2010 Night Stalker, last night. It was spectacular, especially the second half of the bomber. I am not saying you are wrong, in fact, perhaps the 2011 batch was not as good!

What kind of hops does Big John have? There are certain hops that can be spicy, to me, like Magnum and Chinook.

Only ever had NS and BJ fresh, do they still brew these? Loved them fresh, would love to get more...

NS and BJ are listed as not currently brewed. The last release of NS wasn't infected, it was autolysed; not the same thing. Also, I believe there were actually two batches that year, one fine the other completely screwed up.
