At least you'll have that going for you. Which is nice.....
Finally it will pay off beer-wise to live more than 50 miles from Chicago!
Hooray for me.
Drinking another Speedway tonight. Came to Washington about 3 months ago and I'll bet I'm close to 30-35 bottles in. So so delicious. 12 bucks and I have a bottle I can work on all night. Congrats on this fine addition to your beer universe.
Had the pleasure of sipping on a Vietnamese Coffee Speedway today...thank you Libbey!
I think in honor of this news you should BM Todd to ask him to change your name to AleSmithWatcher.
How much weight have you gained in the last 3 months?!
I think I'm down to about 7 shirts. It's gonna be a dry January(cept for the packing party for the Gang Bang) so I'm looking to shed a few of those. I can lose a quick 30-40 on the Atkins Diet.
It sure does pack on fast.
I liked this, even though I don't like Morris. Morris reminds me of Channahon, which reminds me of sister in laws.
Sharing some details as it pertains to Rockford...
An official date has not been set for the AleSmith roll out, but we should see product anytime between now and early January. Artale Wine Co (retail shop) is expected to stock the entire year-round bottle lineup, and Kryptonite Bar will stock select bottles for on-site consumption and packaged to go. Kryptonite will also have kegs tapped from time to time (exact beers TBD) which is especially unique as AleSmith kegs are very rarely seen outside the state of California.
Keep your eyes open for details about an official Rockford release party.
Just to confirm what others have mentioned: Yes, the Chicago metro area will not be included in AleSmith distribution. Yes, DeKalb should have access to AleSmith products.
Super pumped for this release!
This is fantastic news! Ive only had the Speedway and the X IPA, but they were both pretty amazing brews. Really pumped to be able to try the rest of the lineup! Im assuming this release party will be at Kryptonite?
For some of you in East Central Illinois...Crane Alley in Urbana on 12/30...At least Speedway Stout, Horny Devil, Wee Heavy and IPA on tap. More TBA.
You mad bro?!
southern IL please, so st louis MO can go on the rampage
Understand it will be as far north as Kankakee per Pete @ Liquor World...Doesn't know yet what he will be getting.
Alesmith is having a Brewery Kickoff Party at Kelleher's in Peoria on 12/28 beginning at 5:00 PM.
X Pale Ale
Nut Brown Ale
Alesmith bottles arrived in Springfield, IL today at Friar Tuck
Also in Rockford, IL at Artale Wine. I picked up my bottle each of Speedway and IPA. Already sold out of Numbskull when I got there though- and I went right after work at 4.
Just added bottles of Wee Heavy to the bottle list at Kellehers too
Does Kelleher's have decent food? I'd love to hit this event, but in order for me to talk my better half into it, there has to be at least some food involved. Or a trip to Old Navy - that might do it, chicks love Old Navy.
They definitely have decent Irish fare. They have some Guinness-soaked roast beef tips that are fantastic. Try Kellehersirishpub.com for a PDF of their menu.
With all the Alesmith drafts I'm not sure what else they'll have on but they always have a great draft/bottle selection.
And yes, chicks LOVE Old Navy ;-)
We may just end up down there tonight. She was talking about going to Donnally's anyway, so I figure a few more miles won't make that much of a difference.
Looks like IPA, Speedway, Wee Heavy, and Anvil ESB will be tapped at Kryptonite in Rockford on 1/12 - the only 4 kegs in northern IL.
Will DeKalb get these bottles on the shelf? And where is Ballast Point being distributed in Illinois?
I've bought Sculpin in DeKalb before.
I'm heading there today, any suggestions on stores to check out? Thanks
The only ones I know of are 2 Lundeens stores and the Hy-Vee.
And AleSmith is there too?
Dekalb gets Ballast Point and Scuplin REGULARLY; yes.
Alesmith is coming to Dekalb, yes....However, it is not here YET.
