Did you get the tart side of the moon? Or will it be coming in the future? Anyone see it around anywhere else?
Should be coming tomorrow.
Don't forget! All-Suburban Keg-Only tasting tomorrow, 4 to 8 pm. Free, no reservations needed.
Just came back from LZ: they've got a few 4-packs on the shelf...
Remember the price? $15.99-ish?
The tasting. Today. 4 to 8 pm. Free. No reservations. Just bring your ID.
$16.99, I believe...
Cool, I think I'll stop by on my way home from work.
I believe Downers Grove and Bloomingdale Binny's just stated they received it in as well: the Tart Side of the Moon
Grabbed a 4pk from Schaumburg Binnys last week! 16.99
I was there yesterday and it was gone . But..... I scored some today in Algonquin though so all is well not sure how much there was, I only saw one case.
Ahhh I got stuck working a 12+ hour day today....still working....probably gonna miss the whole tasting too
Thanks for setting this up, good stuff. I was psyched with the Light The Lamp stuff. Also enjoyed the Brickstone APA, glad that they made the haul up this way.
Great event, Cheers Jim.
It was a really good tasting. Thanks for having it Jim.
Can't wait until next year's Algonquin Brew Fest aka Binny's Tasting
Awesome event, definitely enjoyed Light the Lamp offerings. I'll be popping in to the tap room for a brew during a Hawks game soon.
So guys- what theme should the next big tasting here showcase? Maybe the beers of.... Pipeworks?
I think you'd get a ton of interest in that.
As soon as Gerrit gets a hold of me so we can do the first order, I'll tweet about it.
Yes, Pipeworks is coming to Algonquin, soon.
Hurry up I kid I kid. But I am getting sick of driving to get the stuff.
That would be awesome to have them their not only the brewery but to have you carry them then!
Pipeworks, yes please!
I'll gladly make the drive up from St. Charles for a Pipeworks tasting and to actually buy the stuff. I'm sure if my local Binny's ever got it, it would never see the shelves anyhow. Glad I drive a lot for work otherwise I'd never get any decent beer out here in central Kane County.
Pipeworks should be coming within a couple weeks. I've communicated with Gerrit and we're waiting on beer being available same time as the delivery truck. Look for the Tweets! And hopefully Spiteful and 18th Street can piggyback out here as well.
Thats great news!
Hey, quick question, my wife and I made a quick run-through of the Algonquin store last week to try and get some Cantillon... didn't see any at all. I swear you used to carry this, no? Or am I thinking of the St. Charles location? Thanks.
Cantillon has been allocated to the top selling stores for some time now. Only about half or less of the Binny's stores get any nowadays.
Stone's enjoy by 5/?/13 was supposed to be released this Monday, any word whether this has showed up in Algonquin or anywhere else yet?
Probably coming to Algonquin on Wednesday, along with everything else from that distro.
anyword on tasting today of beer or even wine at the store?
Guys, our new Beer Consultant Jeff will be the primary Tweeter going forward, so that I can devote more time to the nuts and bolts of the dept. He's a great beer dude! Ask for him next time you're in the store.
Always wines being tasted out from 1 to 4. Grand Teton sixers being tasted out same time. Cheers!
Nice, have to do some Babies R Us shopping, that can always make it easier
I'll have to have my girlfriend grab me one after work...I won't be in the area next week
In case anyone is in search Algonquin had a few dayman glasses in the case. No beer though to go with it. Unique glass I must say.
Is that Jeff who went to Bloomingdale back again?
Trevor is no longer the beer guy at Glen Ellyn, just a heads up.
No it's a different Jeff. Beard Jeff, if you will.
Trevor went to work at Two Brothers. Best wishes and good luck, bro!
