Figured I'd start a thread for this just because. Can't wait for Sunday!

For those of you who don't know (if you're on this site and live in Vancouver, you know), here's the basics:

Alibi Room will be celebrating their 500th Tap Rotation this Sunday the 9th through the 13th

Brassneck has brewed 4 Collab beers w/ Gigantic, Four Winds, Occidental, and Parallel 49 especially for the event. Alibi's also sent 8 casks to be filled to Breakside, Commons, Upright & Gigantic for the event. And on top of that, specialty one offs in cask & keg from local darlings as well as a something REALLY special from Driftwood. 75 different draft offerings, and 22 casks.

12oz sleeves of *everything* will be $5.

They're also donating $500 per day to the local foodbank for the run of the rotation.

As usual Rich Hope will be there playing blues.

    Opens at 2pm!

Only confirmed beer is Four Winds keg of an Orange Hibiscus Farmhouse Radler, which should be a nice palate fatigue break amidst some of the other stuff I'm sure. I've also heard a whispered rumor of a special RIS that's been waiting to be tapped for a while, but nothing I've heard officially confirms it. I also assume the Captain Crunch Stout collab between Brassneck/Parallel 49 will be there, but we'll see soon enough!

    Who's goin?

I will be lining up to get in for sure. These taplist change events are arguably the best events alibi ever puts on in my experience, I'd wager even more so than hopapallooza!

The only question is how early will we all be lining up... :-)

Yeah it's a toss up with Hoppapalooza for me, but I'm glad to have such dilemmas.

My plan is to go very early for brunch at deacons, so I can spy on the line at the same time.

Definitely sneak by! There's bound to be some great stuff on.

Had some of the collaberation beers at Brassneck. Thought the Gigantic Black IPA was good. The Four Winds Cold War and Steamworks Smoke Porter were both great (Cold War better), but didn't care for the P49 Cereak Killer. Not a fan of corn beers, had an off flavour for me.

Oops, typo… the Sour Raspberry is actually a Porter
Each freigeist was poured after the previous (Not sure if they went through more than 1 or 2 yesterday)

I left at around 9:30pm yesterday, the only things that had tapped out were the Cantillon Kriek & Gueuze.

I was so impressed with Four Winds & Brassneck. Brassneck's coffee beer was incredible, four winds brett ipa and experimental sour were both phenomenal - and the four winds / brassneck JD barrel aged baltic porter?! Utterly spectacular.

While I was looking forward to trying everything, I didn't expect to be blown away by local beer at this event. Never have I been so happy to be proven wrong.

Cheers, all. Here's to another 500!

Was the coffee beer the Magic Beans that they have had on their brewery for the last week or something different. Looks like I will need to get the Four Winds brett IPA. Agree that the Cold Wat collab between Fourt Winds and Brassneck was great. You can find that at Brassneck on tap, no fills though ;(

Damn, that's a pretty awesome list. I'd have no idea what to order.

Are any of those Four Winds (Brett API and Sour) in bottles or just on tap?

    Yes, that's the one.
Brett IPA is coming in bottles shortly - the sour was just a one off experiment that the assistant brewer made while the head beer (I've forgotten his name!) was out of town, and with not enough to do growler fills let alone bottles. I suspect this is the last of it.

Juxtapose Brett IPA is available at the tap room in bottles, and will be in stores this week-ish. When I was at the brewery/tap-room I believe Brent said they'd be bottling the Nectarous at some point (perhaps a new batch?) but it's possible I confused that with the other sours coming up. Either way, more sours coming!

It was pretty good. I was a little disappointed that I didn't go earlier, because a lot of the more unique stuff had obviously disappeared fast.

That said, I really enjoyed the P49 RIS cask, and it's always a good night when you get some Oud Bruin, and try one of LIghthouse's special concoctions. I also shared Storm's Glaciar Mammoth (or whatever it was called), which I quite enjoyed. A lot of fun, and a big thanks to Alibi for putting it on.

Not sure if want. I thought their Imperial Flanders was way too boozy, and that was only 12% or so.
