Do you have a picture of this solution? I'm having a little difficulty picturing it.
Really? As soon as he said the parts I knew where it was going. It might help to know that this is the valve:
So when you have carbonated Lost Abbey beers you pour them into a growler and use this device to carbonate them?
Anyone know if they still have any Keane Idea available for fills?
I actually have a 500ml food grade plastic Nalgene bottle with the valve stem setup that I have used for this purpose in the past.
That's it. Standard valve stems for a car. Send me a message if you want one or two. I bought a 50 pack and have many left over.
Only available in the pub as of yesterday @ 1:00pm. No growler fills.
Thanks. I tried calling the pub last night but I couldn't get through. Not happy about it, but this saves me the 3 hour drive from LA.
Hahaha no worries, the shipping cost wouldn't be worth it, I think when I bought them for a pneumatic cannon they were like $2. Plus I have a deficit of lids compared to glass right now, can't really justify destroying one for this purpose, especially when most of my growlers that I actually use are flip-tops.
Thanks for the offer though, and that's a neat idea.
Anyone know if they have Nelson bottles available? Ill be close enough to make the run today, but missed out on Nelson the last couple times.
I believe they are closed on Mondays...
That's correct, both the pub and brewery are closed.
Ahhh that's right, well that answers that. Thanks!
If you dig a little you can find Nelson around town. I spotted it at a spot yesterday & they had a bunch.
Not sure if it's been posted yet but City Beer Store will soon be getting Alpine.
Makes sense. They did the event together last week, and we know the expansion is coming soon...
Are the Expo bottle sales today?
Yes. No line right now.
Thanks picked up my bottles. There was literally no line. limit 4.
any clue how long these will be around? make it until/through the weekend?
Haha this is SoCal... now that it's hit BA it won't last past Friday. Cue huge line tomorrow.
alright, almost left work today to get my allocation, but thought it would be better to bring a few beer brethren for the 1 hour drive and the 4 bottle limit... here's to hoping
The last "silent" release sold out in a day I believe.
Hell it'll probably be gone tomorrow. Unannounced on a Tuesday, this the way to release it; even though it means I'm never going to get another bottle.
One of the ladies behind the bar (don't know her name, but she's the super-bubbly, friendly, dark-haired one) said that they bottled more than last time. So, there's that.
And, yeah. I was the only one in there at 5PM. Hope everybody gets their fair share!
Negative. Bought 4 every day for 4 days.
I am going to be making the trip down from the Bay Area to the SD area / Alpine (for the first time) on Thursday and was wondering if they sell bottles in the Pub or if I will have to get there before 6pm when the brewery closes to get bottles. Hopefully the Exponential Hoppiness lasts till then!
Expo is sold only the brewery till 6PM.
Didn't you just say you wore that shirt today? You need to change shirts more often.
What? You're quoting a post from months and months ago.
It's still a good point
Was he referring to Keene Idea? Silent release and I think was their last silent one. Think it lasted 6 hours though and it was growler fills. Totally different but he might have been talking about that.
Damn I wanna drive down there but, after hydroplaning on the freeway today, i'm not doing it if it keeps raining like this.
8 freeway East is backed up and the freeway is closed at Willows.
Now that I think about it I might have been referring to Keene Idea. Regardless, I like the silent releases.
Ya I just called my buddy who lives up there. He said the roads are awful.
10 buyers deep at noon.
About the same at 12:30
No duet or PH bottles
