Anyone been here yet ? Their Mai Tai IPA won gold at GABF (international-style pale ale). It's walking distance from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Can't wait to pregame for that.

i went in october of last year just because it was close by where i was staying on a trip to the monterey bay aquarium.
I didnt have their mai tai ipa but i can honestly say of the 7 beers i tried not one stood out. None were bad just nothing special

Mai tai is delicious, they make some solid IPAs in general have not had other styles from them yet

I've been there multiple times, and enjoy not only the beer but the food as well. A little bit of a hike from the aquarium, but doable. Probably my top stop in Monterey at this point.

Their minesweeper and dank sauce (seasonal) were fantastic last year. The others are ... eh. But they are constantly experimenting with new stuff, so watch out for them.

Finally had their Mai Tai pale ale and it's up there with Karl Strauss Mosaic. So damn good. Brought a growler to educate my homies.

I had the Mai Tai IPA and Super Rad in cans over the weekend. The IPA was great.

I thought Super Rad needed a bit more of everything, just not quite there yet.

Contains No Juice is a must if you're into hazy juice bombs! Looking forward to their Northeast IPA "Haze of our lives". Also, I much prefer their Salinas location which isn't open on weekends.... but will be pretty soon.

The newest batch of Contains No Juice is phenomenal. It's getting into the territory of the better NE IPAs.

It's a travesty that this thread is only one page.

One of my favorite breweries right now second to Cellarmaker (of course). Contains no Juice is just lovely, Haze of our lives was a beast, lots of grapefruit on it. Their Danktoberfest was nice as well although nothing to blow you out of the water I guess.

Great place for food as well. The chef is great.

I had a Super Rad and thought it was super crushable. Really hope Contains No Juice makes it up here to the East Bay.

I hope so, because the cans of Contains No Juice I got while up in SJ last week were phenomenal.

^ Doubt that it will reach SoCal anytime soon. They distribute it themselves.

I'm more interested in Haole Punch than Contains No Juice. Guess I'll need to search around Sac when I get back from SoCal.

Hearing a lot of positive talk about Contains No Juice. People saying it's the best canned or bottled hoppy beer in northern CA and that's saying a lot these days. I'll have one Friday night so we'll see about that.

It's definitely one of, if not *the* closest I've had to the few "NE style" IPAs I've had that were actually from NE.

Possibly the only one I've thought was better was Haze of our Lives.

Never had any Monkish, but I've heard they also do one of the best west coast jobs of replicating NE style IPAs.

So I managed to get a 4-pack of this stuff the other day. I had a can last night and was very impressed by it. There's a lot of sediment at the bottom of the can so if you want to incorporate it into your beer, you'll have to gently agitate the can after pouring a few ounces into your glass. I'm just really happy I can get beer of this quality without much fuss.

Any chance Haole / CnJ are still around east bay / SF or SJ?

Not sure if people are willing to divulge their honey holes but I'd love to get a 4 pack of each.

Am planning of passing by the brewery in Monterey this upcoming weekend, do they usually have cans or crowlers available? I checked the website, and it looks like every beer has a crowler/growler logo,

    Thanks in advance.

Crowler fills are only from the outside patio draft option.

    Cans are usually plentiful.

I thought Haole punch was really tasty. Just a tropical bomb. I did have some complaints about Contains No Juice, though. While the hop aromas and flavors were very much in line with what I'd hoped for, I found this beer had a strong ethanol burn. Unpleasantly so. I think there's a lot of potential there, though and I'd love to stop by the brewery when passing through.

Coincidentally, I opened a can of CNJ today and experience the same booze factor. I didn't experience that last week.

Looks like they are dropping another double can release tomorrow:

38 Miles - 5.8% American Pale Ale. A collaboration with our friends from Sante Adairius Rustic Ales!

    Peninsula Pilsner - 5.2% German-Style Pils
