I posted an ISO:FT, FT 2011 Black Tuesday, ISO BA Floyds (Behemoth, Owd, Klaus), Was I way off? I personally thought it was pretty close 1:1. I know the bottle counts etc, etc. Anyone have any helpful ideas as to the no response? Thanks for the help all. Cheers
I think you nailed it, bottle counts, but it's also how they were released. The beers you're looking for were sold in groups of five (BA Owde Engwish, Biggs' 'Stache, Conquistador de Muerte Porto, Cuvee du Viking, SoBro) and four (BA Alpha Kluas, BA AK w/Cherries, BA AK w/Plums, BA Behemoth) during special occasions (15th anniversary party, DLD ticket sales, DLD), and you could only buy one, not one of each. This means if people wanted to try them all, they either had to organize who gets what with a tasting group or bring three to four mules, and that still doesn't leave one to trade.
I agree dvelcich. Would also add that BT was much easier to obtain this year than previous years and it seems that a lot of it has been traded. Some of the BA FFF stuff is < 500 bottles.
Probably not going to happen from a random trader when there were only 261 bottles of BA Owde Engwish & 454 bottles of BA Behemoth Multiple BA Klaus varieties and probably a little lower on the desirability scale so that might be more attainable
^This man *dvelcich* speaks the truth. I traded my BA Behemoth for this year's Chocolate Rain if that helps at all.
To add to stxSS07 and give you an idea, I traded my BA Behemoth for a Flaming Fury, my BA Alpha for Southampton Raspberry Lambic, and my BA Plum Alpha for another Southampton Black Raspberry Lambic.
I traded a KH + 2xBeat for my BA Behemoth. I'd imagine either side of my equation could probably land a BT. So, maybe 2xBT?
I cant wait until October when we are told that we can buy 12x BT allotment, six at the release party, 4 at the internet sale to non-RS members, and one each day in December at Provisions. GONNA BE SO CASH>>>
BT '11 had a pretty high bottle count, RS members could buy what 6 bottles?, and anyone could buy up to 3 online. BA Behemoth was 454 total bottles, 1 per person, and was a suprise release at a suprise DLD ticket release, announced via Facebook and twitter at like 6 am for sales to start at 9 Am. Unless you were a local who checks social network sites non stop, there wasn't much time to get mules. I know I personally wouldn't consider this even close. Although this is just my opinion.
