My wife read this on her news feed while on the way to have lunch at one of our local breweries today, so we've already started celebrating.

I was not aware of American Craft Beer Week but earlier today while grocery shopping I purchased a couple of six-packs:
    • Von Trapp Kolsch
    • Sterling Pig Shoats Pilsner
That should pretty much hold up till the end to the week! :beers:

    Cheers to American Craft Beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Von Trapp makes the best German style beers that I've had from an American brewery. Every one has been spot on.

Perhaps I’m mistaken, but haven’t the past two years been Craft Beer Week?

I'm going to visit a couple of locals even if they don't have any Lagers on draught. I wish they did.

I would encourage you to try some of the German style beers brewed by the plethora of craft breweries in my area (SEPA). The only brand of Von Trapp I regularly purchase is their Kolsch; I much prefer the other beer styles (German Pilsner, Doppelbock, Schwarzbier, etc.) that are brewed by SEPA breweries.

    Cheers!

Beer drinking, reviewing, adding to the BA beer database, doing at least two trades and, hopefully, hooking up with @Whyteboar (MI) here in Colorado Springs...:beers:

I'll probably visit a brewery or three...oh wait, I do that just about every week

I'll be on the lookout, what are some of your favorite breweries is that area? I know that we don't get a lot of PA breweries in WV but I'm in VA often and they get better distribution.

I suspect that you will have to trade for these beers from many of these breweries:
    • Sterling Pig
    • Locust Lane
    • Workhorse
    • Forest & Main
    • Sly Fox
    • Troegs
    • Victory
    • Troubles End
    • East Branch
    • Tired Hands
    • Human Robot
    • 2SP
    • Von C
    • Brothers Kershner
    • Root Down
The above is off the top of my head, I am sure I am forgetting a dozen more that I should add to that list.

I suppose your best bet is a beercation to the area but the challenge then would be to narrow down which ones to visit.

    Cheers!

Without knowing this, today I grabbed a von Trapp/Thin Man Helles Bock. It’s drinking fantastically.

Definitely hunting down some local brews. Planning on grabbing from a place that's opened up within the past year and posting my review on here!

I’m American. I drink craft beer every week. Ergo, every week is American Craft Beer week.

My fridge is pert near empty in anticipation of a new haul yet 14 American craft brews remain. I'll get super crafty next week at the beer store and will seek out more Lagers!

I agree! Hell, EVERY DAY is craft beer day, let alone week. Although, occasionally, an import may sneak in.
