I've read many times on BA that Julian is used for SN and Lagunitas beer and that the first three digits are the day of the year it was bottled and the fourth digit was the last digit of the year. So if it was bottled today, the first four would read 0183. Why does my 2013 Ruthless Rye Julian date show 2356 as the first four digits? The entire number is 235610702 and another number on the same bottle 2356107:03. I also find things on the net like this when I do a search, confirming this: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_read_Julian_dates_on_beer WTF am I missing????
