I went into Cannibal a couple weeks ago to look at the beer selection, found it to be satisfactory but somewhat limited. Overall, nothing special.

I have read the food is great, maybe, but if the food is priced like the beer *****, BF'd, etc. would be appropriate descriptions of the experience. If the inflation predictions come true I suspect Cannibal won't survive.

Strange location too...in the midst of ritzy brownstones???

    Hi DS,

I haven't been to HoB in about 3 years, I had to cut down on my walking because my legs were exhausted.

But when I was going there (46th St location) they were doing a great job on tapped German beers, equal to the Heidelberg, Zum Schneider, or Lorely's. I will admit it's a bit of a sports bar with the TVs and loud music, but it was a compromise to be able to meet up with a friend.

For a time HoB had Julius Echter on tap, and it was superb!

    Good Luck, KP.
