I completed my first beer trade about 2 months ago. Being in California makes it easier for me to find tradable beer. For example a beer like Pliny the Elder is a very tradable beer. The thing is that Im only in California a few months a year now, since I started going to school in New Mexico. I want to continue trading, but after checking out seekabrew it seems like the only beer company (correct me if I'm wrong) that people might be interested in trading for is Odell's. Then again, how tradable is it? Since their beers aren't hard to find.

Can anyone shed me some light?

    Thanks

Hard to go wrong with Marble. And La Cumbre cans their Elevation IPA, I bet there is some interest in that.

Marble, Santa Fe and La Cumbre all trade fairly well, as does Odells.

Which beer specifically from each company are people looking for? The only New Mexican beers that I've tried is Marble's DIPA, Happy Camper and Imperial Java Stout from Santa Fe. Good stuff.

I just noticed that you're from ABQ. Nice. I go to school at tech and I normally go to ABQ about once or twice a month. Is Jubilation still the go to beer store in ABQ? Also, are you going to the ABQ Beer Festival at Hardrock?

From Marble, their IPA, DIPA, Imperial Red and Double White trade nicely for other off-the-shelf brews. Their Reserve Ale and Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout trade for bigger, similar bottles.

Santa Fe's Java Stout trades decently for similar brews and their Wild Ale series can usually get other somewhat harder-to-get brews.

La Cumbre's Elevated IPA won gold at last year's GABF and it just started being canned, so it can trade for similar brews fairly easily.

All of these brews and many, many more can be found at Jubi. However, don't expect to get any "walez" for these bottles though they are a good place to start trading; you'll easily start expanding your collection. I'm not sure yet about the ABQ Beer Fest, it just depends on what's going for us that weekend. Shoot me a BM and maybe we can grab a few rounds in town.
