I'll be trying anyway, just curious if you've tried

I'm at the brewery now. Just gonna cut to the chase. I think it might be the worst of the Showers series. Man, Noble is so hit and miss. Nelson and Citra Showers were so good, the rest have been very meh to me and El Dorado just isn't a very good beer. I think they're on the right path and have improved, just haven't hit their stride yet.

Wow, didn't expect such a difference... I'm drinking from a pour out of the bottle right now and I find it one of the better ones from the series. I wrote a review, but in a nutshell I found it very juicy and citrusy in a good way. Not too malty with a fairly dry finish. The fact that you found it horrible makes me suspect bottle/keg difference, but would love to hear what others think. Another BA rated it as a 3.5. In any case, I would purchase this one again.

Based on the widening range of opinions post-Citra and Nelson Showers, I'm beginning to think that this series is just highlighting the fact that different people prefer different hop varieties.

It's also highlighting how poorly certain hop varieties work in a single hop beer.

Agreed. And especially how hard it is to make them work in big DIPA's that push 9%

Stone Liberty Station made a primarily El Dorado beer that I thought practically tasted like orange juice it had such a powerful citrus profile. I agree with the notion that this just is a polarizing series because of people's subjective tastes and preferences. I haven't tried this beer yet but am hoping to grab a bottle soon. I'm certainly not going to expect it to taste anything like a Nelson or other piney/more bitter hop IPA.

Very well-put. As much as I love the Rakau hop varietal, on its own, it doesn't really do anything for me. It's pretty underwhelming.

Yeah that last batch was a let down...after Equinox being a nice surprise. Pretty sure galaxy is coming soon so that will be good. I'm not the biggest single hop galaxy fan, but I know lots of people will dig it since it will be super dank. I'm still waiting for them do a sorachi ace or lemon drop beer.

Societe's busting out the Bachelor Mosaic later this month (maybe even this weekend) so I hope Mosaic's next in the showers series.

It would be pretty awesome if they continue the trend of Left Hand and now Oskar Blues and nitro-can Naughty Sauce. I'd consider that to be a highly worthwhile venture.

I had it on tap and liked it quite a bit. I got a real fruity hop thing from it, almost reminded me of fruit loops.

I had it on the release day and also found it to be wonderful. Probably my 3rd favorite of the series.

My wife and I split a bomber last night and we both liked it quite a bit. I'd put it maybe 4th out of all the other Showers releases (behind Simcoe, Citra, and Nelson--not necessarily in that order). I definitely got some orange sherbet on the nose and a lot of citrus throughout. Glad I have another bottle downstairs. I may just get another while I can.

I concur! It would also be nice if they canned any of their beers. Other then the shower series it's though to drop $6 on their bombers.

...for $9 a bottle. At $6 these would be okay, but the quality of these beers is not commensurate with the high price.
