I'm assuming its going to fly off of the shelves like Dissident did. I haven't heard anything about it but its been showing up in other states.

Oddly enough, I've recently seen last year's Abyss still on the shelf in Northern Colorado, Greeley specifically. But if I see any new bottles I'll give a yell.

there is like 10 times more Abyss then Dissident, so it's not the mad bum-rush to get it.

I talked with the dudes at Mile High and Parker Payless...sounds like distro is waiting till after the holiday weekend to send it out, and should be hitting shelves Monday or Tuesday

Abyss finally landed in FoCo. I hit my favorite shop and was limited to 2 bottles. The beer guy told me they got 3 cases and were told that's all they're getting this year. Said they got 18-20 cases last year (in several shipments).

    EDIT: It's up a couple of bucks/bottle to $15

Likely story, right? Aren't we told the same thing every year and then new cases keep magically appearing through January/Feb? With that said, I still haven't seen it in the Boulder area. Anybody around Denver/Boulder spotted it yet?

Found one in Boulder this evening. Was limited to the one and was told that it was their last one. They said they only received two cases.

    It was $15 as well.

Picked one up from Mr. B's today...one bottle limit, 15 bucks a bottle.

Sounds like we aren't getting as much as everyone thought

Deschutes is really finding that sweet spot with their pricing. Don't be surprised if it continues to rise acouple dollars every year until sales slow. Kudos to them but for $15 ill stick to 100% barrel aged beers from FW.

I was at Supermarket and either they sold out or you had to know to ask for it to grab some. I didn't bother asking for anything.

Just had two friends pick em up at Superior. Limit 1 ea. You could try Petty John's in Boulder... I scored a case last year. They don't limit anything there :)

Which Total Beverage? I was at 92nd and Sheridan at about 5:30p and it wasn't there. Guess I need to call.

Probably rang it up as Deschutes Reserve series so it's likely it was the last reserve to come out (BBXXIV) price. I'd take Abyss all day long at $12.99 or $13.99.... by far a steal.

Several places in C. Springs have it. But saw one bottle left in two locations and another you have to ask for it. Seems like its going waaay faster this year. Even the Springs is seeing an increase in beer nerds.

Stopped by my fav store in Longmont (Liquor Land) on a drive earlier this morning and they had 5 bottles of Abyss left. Other bottles of note were River North's Hoppenberg, Stone's Chocolate Mint Stout, Ghost Face Killah, Avery's Odio Equum, Chicken Killer, CS's Surette Reserva, still lots of Collage, and lots of stuff from Epic - a little over a case of Big Bad Baptist, Fermentation, and Brainless on Peaches.

Will there be more than one shipment of this? The four or five places I frequent in Denver all sold out within two days, almost as bad as Dissident.

Rumor is yes, but not to all the places that got the first shipment. I am not positive on this however.

Whole Foods boulder has 10 left (well 2 were gone from the case he said, could've got more than one case) was only 11.99, they had some sort of problem with the pricing, so it just went on sale today or yesterday. Gotta ask for it.
