Anyone with any places in South Denver with it still around?
bubbles in castle rock and possibly libations in aurora
Thanks for the tip! Do you have to ask for anything behind the counter at Libations? Didn't realize they had decent beer, its like 3 blocks from where I live!
Just ask for it. He usually doesn't hide things, pliny makes it out onto his shelves even. That little store is a gem. I've picked up so many great finds weeks and months after seeing other shelves run dry. He's got a well stocked bomber room in addition to the two doors of bombers up front as well.
Libations is wonderful! They were my first store I shopped for craft beer, been pretty loyal ever since. The limited releases go quick, got an Abyss last week, but I know their case of FW XVI went in a day. Parabola was the same this year.
I was in 287 Liquors the other day and it looks like they just installed ~5 refrigerators for their bombers and single 12 oz bottles section. A really good store just became great. No other place in Fort Collins where you can buy a cold Big Bad Baptist!
But, my point, is that I found a full row of Abyss there. One bottle limit.
(also found some Odio Equum reapper and no limit there)
So is Abyss done this year, or can we expect more shipments of it. Anybody heard?
In my town, it was 1 and done. I *suspect* the same for most markets.
Any sightings recently? Hoping to find a bottle or two.
Haven't seen any in a while. It went pretty fast.
Nuts. I'll drown my sorrows in Crooked Stave this vacation. The world's tiniest violin plays for me
If you can find Epic's Big Bad Baptist than you will have found yourself with a more than suitable barrel aged replacement.
I've got a bottle of that at home
Found some bottles of Abyss tonight. Thanks friends!
I found a row of Abyss tonight, then turned the first bottle a little more and saw it was 2011.
Clearly not in any stores I visit.
Probably not, unless you're routinely in Woodland Park, CO. I was there for a brief visit, just want to keep the hope alive for the beerhunters.
Surprisingly, I found 2012 Abyss on the shelf today. A bit more expensive than last year ($13.49) but no bottle limit. Are you fellas seeing it on shelves other places in CO?
Any chance that it will still be around in Denver late next month?
Maybe in some smaller, lesser-known bottle shops. I think it's already gone from places like Argonaut, Mr. B's, etc.
Has anyone seen this left on any shelves around the Denver area?
Haven't seen it around Denver. Might be able to find it farther out.
It's on tap at Backcountry in Boulder right now
@Boondoggle, a spot in fort collins may still have some
SOB, I was in town last Friday and didn't even think to stop by.
