Last summer I had a Three Brothers.... something in a can... and the tab wouldn't cooperate. After I used a manual bottle opener on it to get my precious, it looked like the canning line had stamped two tops on top of the can, but were misaligned. I dubbed the can "WTF CAN?!?"

Never contacted Three Brothers regarding it... just didn't think it was that big of a deal.

    Anyone else encounter this?

no issues with cans but, I had a bottle of storm king the other week that had a dent in the bottle. kinda like a spot to put your thumb while you drink from it.

There's a brewery here in Seattle that puts their beer in old-school cans that require a church key. A couple years ago, they had an issue with the beer refermenting in the can -- you guessed it, splodey splodey. Most stores either put it on deep discount or took it off the shelves entirely.

    Not a bad beer, though!

Oh my gosh you're so edgy and dangerous, what an out there opionion....

OP: having two can lids seamed together on the can would be very interesting, I'm surprised it held together, didn't lose all carbonation (I'm assuming it didn't), and didn't totally screw up the zero and tolerance on that can seamer.

I once bought a six pack of Storm King and found that one of the bottles was completely empty. The cap was on, no cracks in the glass, just empty.

My buddy was getting out of his car with a mix-six in his hand and the can of Quest Kaldi Coffee Stout that was in there's lid shot straight up off the can and there was a beer geyser. He said the noise was so loud it was almost like a gunshot went off. I, personally, have had no issues with cans *knock on wood*

I heard people were drinking them, filling them with water, and then putting wax around the top of the can to make it look real. Then they trade it to some poor suckah.

I hate that about 20 minutes after a can is opened, it's empty. WTF kinda customer service is that?

In the best way. Flying Dog put some Barrel Aged Gonzo in Snakedog cans for whatever reason, and a friend from the brewery brought me a sixer. Delightful!

A few times, but most notably, a sealed but unfilled 12 oz. can of Jai Alai in a sixer that I bought at a grocery store and didn't discover until I got home. I still have it packed away somewhere. What a disappointment.

I had 3 cans of Quest explode last week on the shelf at the shop. Put the 4th can in a bag and waited. Two days later it exploded also.

This came from a great BA on here so I don't think that's the case. I think that they did a can seal test and the water filled can slipped through the cracks somehow.

Once bought a case of pbr where some of the cans had a brown substance dried onto the outside. Looked like someone had dropped them in a mud puddle then packaged them up.
