I had a year old storm king, along with a year old dark intrigue recently. The hops did fade considerably but I can't say I really thought either was great.

So Aug 16 is "good" for three years and Sep 6 - for five. I know the liquor store hadn't been sitting on it for two years. It is possible that a distributor had, but I doubt.

Could it be that Victory used a wrong stamp?

I suppose it is possible that an incorrect stamp was applied but I really have no idea.

    Cheers!

I haven't had it in a couple years. I've always been underwhelmed by it. I know it's considered one of the more hoppy Imperial Stouts, but I never thought it was hoppy at all. The body and flavors really never reminded me of what I look for in a RIS. It wasn't bad though. But like I said, it's been AWHILE. Matter of fact, I'm gonna grab a single this week and re-visit it. It's been too long..

I saw Victory Hop Devil at my shop with a best enjoyed by date of Aug 2015. That can't be right.
