    I mentioned it in the previous post but I ended up with a few Canadian pennies as well as three watch batteries. The only other thing that got rejected was a super thin penny and I wonder if it was just so old it had been worn down in size both the front and the back of the penny were completely flat although I'm not sure what use a penny slug has

    I'm not going to guess since I already have a Society membership, but I will say that what you're doing for the people is very cool. FYI -- a 12 gallon storage bag filled about halfway (quarters only) is over $80. Happy guessing!

    I often give my small bills and loose change to homeless people posted on the corner. I absolutely gave more money to people in need then ended up in the jar but that isn't a fair comparison because I give out $5 bills fairly frequently. When I see kids at the candy/gumball machines at stores I sometimes slip them a bit of cash on the downlow to buy a snack.

    I have never been homeless or hungry but I would want someone to help me if i was in that situation so I reciprocate.
