Haha that was me. I appreciate it. I asked here and then got an answer in that thread.

I tried my sister to go to aslin from DC but without a car it would be an hour there so she said no. Maybe Ill try and trade for some in the future. Let me know if any of yall want Westbrook stuff.

Eff the city. Aslin bros, you need to lock down some acreage in Western Loudoun and plant the seeds (literally) for that farmhouse brewery you know you want to build. Green to the max. And plenty of space for long ass lines. Farm to table and all that shit.

I heard they are keeping the current facility and opening a brewpub close by. Not sure why they would want to get into the food business but hopefully it works out if that's the case.

Makes more money I assume. People come for beer and get food and more beer. Breweries make way better margins onsite than distributing so keeping people onsite is adventageous.

I understand the thinking/strategy behind it, I just think dealing with everything that comes with owning a restaurant could be a major headache.

I might have to hit this release just to see people purchasing $25 bottles of maple syrup with my own eyes.

Everyone knows the finest maple syrup comes from suburban virginia strip malls.

If those sell out I'll be surprised. I was at hill farmstead when they released their bourbon barrel aged maple syrup a few years back and it didn't sell out.

Should be a good test of Aslin's hype power and NOVA drinkers willingness to buy anything that is bourbon barrel aged.

Huge line but everything seemed to run smoothly. I got there just before 2 and ended up being in the middle of the line.

Just opened a Neutrino; smells great, but it's a little more bitter than I expected and does have a slight vegetal finish like some other ddh beers.

I complained last week and will give them compliments this week. They must have had a lot more beer this week. I got in line at 3:30pm and purchased by 4:15 with a full allotment. I honestly didn't think I would get anything getting in line so late, but that was the earliest I could get there and was prepared to walk away empty. Enjoying my first MOK ever and it's great!

And the maple syrup, I assumed it was a stout, had no idea it was just syrup. I didn't get it.

Lastly, the guy in the green sports car trading, he was great. Wish I could have gotten my beer before he took off. I'm a trading virgin, but there are some NE beers that I would love to try.

Pro-tip: I've found Aslin beers need to refrig condition for about a week to hit optimum flavor. The vegetal green notes kind of fade out.

IPAs were both still available after 6PM with no line.

I passed on the syrup only because I've got some from another source. Bourbon aged maple syrup is legit.

I saw somewhere that the Neutrino cans were canned on 2/14, same day as Mind the Hop and MoO. If that's true, kind of explains why there was a lot more beer this week vs last week.

How much sediment is in each can of Neutrino? Like an oz. or is it more? I don't want to buy $5+ cans (if any are still available today) and have to pour out a significant portion of each one.

From the one can I had, leave at least the last ounce in the can. It reminds me of some of my homebrews and you pour that first pint from the keg that has all the stuff that settled.

Do they always do can releases on Thursdays? And if so, the cans usually sell out by Friday? Thanks.
