Saturday release this week, hopefully they keep the allotments relatively small as I assume the line will be the longest it's ever been.

Agreed. Hopefully the amount of different stuff will keep some folks from buying everything

On Saturday, March 19 at 11am, we’ll be releasing Orange Starfish, Mind The Hop, Master of Oranges, & Stellar Parallax in 16oz cans. Descriptions are below. Mug Club members will get email shortly about Pre-sales. All general public sales will be done in person on Saturday. We will be doing growler fills on Thursday & Friday of all beers we have in kegs. If any beer is left from Friday, then we will fill growlers on Saturday if we get through the cases of beer. LIMITS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

Orange Starfish: IPA Dry Hopped with Citra & Galaxy! Limits 8 cans, $4.25/can Case Count: Approximately 130

Stellar Parallax: DPA Dry Hopped with Citra, Galaxy, & Simcoe Limits 8 cans, $5.00/can Case Count: Approximately 100 Cases

Mind The Hop: DPA Dry Hopped with Citra Limits 6 cans, $5.00/can Case Count: Approximately 85 Cases

Master of Oranges: DPA Double-Dry Hopped with Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic, & Amarillo Limits 6 cans, $5.50/can Case Count: Approximately 80 Cases

So how many cases will already be accounted for if Mug Club members get full allotments?

^ there are 100 mug club members so to be conservative you can just subtract 100 allocations of each beer. Cases reserved for MC would be 33, 33, 25 and 25.

Is there a good time to go to Aslin and get some cans yet avoid standing in line? Or is that impossible?

First Saturday can release so nobody really knows but on Thursday releases getting cans with little to no wait was possible most weeks if you showed up after 4 or so.

Sort of depends on the release. This/most releases? HAH. If you really want to try the beers and don't care about trading cans you can get growler fills the days following.

Any insider knowledge on a safe time to get in line to get at least a couple varieties? I'm not really a travel for beer guy, but I'm considering the two hour drive if I can get in line by 10 and not be shut out.

If you don't want to get there a couple hours early then it MAY not be worth your time, better safe than sorry.

Personally, I would wait until they figure out their scaled-up recipes before committing to that long of a drive. My drive is much shorter (around 40 minutes), and I went there semi-regularly when they did on-site pours, but I'm unwilling to do that now with their hop sludge issues. Just a thought.

I told myself I wouldn't share this, but here I am. You don't have to wait that long to be close to the front of the line. If you show up 1.5-2 hours before opening you'll normally be very close to the front.

Definitely something to consider, it's been kind of hit or miss since they ramped up production. Opened my last Neutrino can last night and still had to pour out the last 2-3 oz, (no improvement in the last couple weeks). Also had a lot of sediment in my cans of DOS, not as bad as neutrino but not acceptable IMO.

Pure speculation but since there was no release last week ("unexpected change of schedule"), I wonder if the reason was to let the beers that were canned last week settle some, like what it appeared they attempted to do with Neutrino.

I've also noticed that Aslin beers lose their fruit flavors after 2 weeks or so which is such a shame.

I guess this is what happens when a few guys who homebrewed decide to open up their own brewery.
